We recently had the pleasure of an overnight stay at the Green Welly B&B thanks to my mum.  What a gem. We had the upstairs room with attached lounge and balcony. We had a warm welcome from Ivan who answered all our enquiries. The rooms were warm and inviting with a comfortable bed. There were lots of extras for us to indulge in or amuse ourselves with. 
Thank you Jenny for our most amazing breakfast not to mention the most perfect eggs. I would highly recommend the Green Welly especially if you want that extra touch to your stay.

Views down the valley. Which also means you can hear the South West Highway.

A great B and B in Bridgetown

This was perfect for a stay in Bridgetown (3 minutes from the town centre), and we'll be back.

Jenny and Ivan host a classically country b&b, cosy and in a quiet setting.  They've worked out the right mix of a warm welcome and respect for your privacy.  You can come and go from the private entrances to the accommodation, but are assured of a friendly reception when you arrive.
Everything is provided.  You might think the accommodation is a little "busy", until you realise you've forgotten something (eg some toiletry item), and there it is. 
I could rave in detail about the extraordinary breakfast hamper of cold and hot goodies delivered to our doorstep (we stayed in the cosy Nook downstairs, converted from a cellar - highly recommended) on the dot of when we pre-ordered, or the rural atmosphere on a misty morning, but you should just experience it for yourself.  It's good to benefit from someone's understandable pride in their home-cooking and well-designed guesthouse. 

Cosy; a true b&b run by experienced hosts.

We had two very comfortable nights at the Green Welly. Set high on a hillside above the Bridgetown valley we enjoyed the spacious suite accommodation (suitable for a couple) of bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, with veranda at back and front. The decor is homely with lots of personal touches, not designer chic, which is a pleasant change from austere holiday homes.
As everyone who stays here will note: Jenny and Ivan have thought of all the details to make your stay comfortable and well-equipped, from every toiletry you can imagine (inc nail polish & remover) to wifi, tv, picnic backpacks, books, games and notebooks. But don't forget, it is not self-catering so no kitchen - however there is a good supply of crockery, kettle, fridge, microwave, condiments, tea, coffee - so you can enjoy snacks and light meals there. They even supply milk, water, soft drinks, beer, wine & snacks which you can leave payment for.
The breakfast was fabulous - all locally grown or supplied with Jenny's homemade pastries, granola, jams and other treats. Their own free range eggs are delicious - delivered in hand-knitted cosies, served with toast and curled butter balls (loved that touch!).
Jenny & Ivan's hospitality was courteous with right level of friendliness, helpfulness and also allowing us our privacy too. Although, when we became somewhat excited & loud, cheering at the TV coverage of Federer and Williams at the Hopman Cup, we did wonder if the walls are a bit too thin and w caused some noise pollution for our hosts!

True to quality B&B traditions

We loved this place and the hosts are amazing - great to talk to but also give plenty of privacy, very helpful and welcoming. Comfortable bed, beautiful surroundings, I especially loved the verandahs and the wonderful view. Breakfast was definitely the prettiest i have ever seen anywhere and absolutely delicious (our hosts gave us a doggy bag to take our leftovers - which was about half and did us perfectly for lunch as well!!) There is so much thought into all of the provisions in the cottage - when we were there there were even picnic baskets, raincoats, scarves - that's just to name a few items which were so thoughtful for people on holiday. We recommend!

Perfect Getaway

The Green Welly B&B is one of the most well rounded B&B with respect to understanding the needs of its guests. We stayed at the suite which was a great choice. Nothing was missed from the bedroom, to the bathroom, the hallway, the living area and the verandah including the spectacular view of rolling hills. The suite has a back porch and a front verandah.  
We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed scrumptious breakfast that was varied every morning, certainly a highlight. 
Ivan and Jenny were impeccable hosts. Highly recommend!

One with The Lot

We stayed in this quirky B&B for 1 night. It was delightful. Jenny sent us a friendly message before we arrived but Ivan greeted and looked after us, providing a wonderful breakfast of home made goodies and boiled eggs from their chickens. Our accommodation consisted of a homely suite with bedroom, bathroom and lounge including fridge, microwave, kettle etc. There was a balcony overlooking a field with the family's 9 pet sheep and another off the bedroom all with comfortable seating seating. We'll be back,
