It's a real achievement to stand out in the stunning Hunter Valley surrounded by views, vineyards and exceptional food and wine - and Pemberley Grange has managed to do just that. I was there for a short business trip but will definitely be back for leisure. Rather that just accommodation, Pemberley Grange provided lushness - soft carpet, beautiful French styling, space and heated towel rails in the bathroom (much valued in early June.) The scenery outside the front and back doors of the suites (all ground level - accessible for all abilities) was magnificent.

Wow. A stunning place to be.

Could not think of a more peaceful and beautiful place to unwind, relax and recharge. From the amazing service, to the stunning location it truly was hard to fault our stay. Definitely plan on going back!! :) :)

Perfect Hunter Valley Escape!!

Nice rooms and a great breakfast on Sunday at Nightingales (round corner). For a similar price you can stay at Nightingales though, which has a nicer room and nicer view. Other than Sunday breakfast is cook your own. The location is great for the Broke wineries close to all the good ones like Whispering Brook and Margans. 

Bit overpriced 

What a find! From our arrival Friday evening to our Sunday morning departure we fell in love with Pemberley Grange. Our lovely hosts Jane and Ross made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was fantastic - tastefully appointed and had everything we needed for a weekend escape. The view was so beautiful (see photos) and the location ideal... Ever so slightly off the beaten track in the stunning township of Broke, Pemberley Grange is close enough to the Hunter Valley action but far enough away for a real getaway. We will most certainly be back!

Outstanding 

This was the third year in a row we have stayed at this resort, as we attend on a yearly basis to partake in a winery luncheon nearby. On the first year, we were supplied with a breakfast of 4 eggs, bacon, bread (toast) and fruit and juice.  Second year, the eggs and bacon were gone, still with bread, croissants and juice. 3rd year, bread, croissants, fruit and juice and muesli, (which neither my wife or I eat). 
The rooms are large and comfortable and air conditioned.  Good size bathroom and small kitchenette. 
This year was a debacle. Room and bathroom clean. 

We put our own wine in the door of the small bar ridge upon our arrival (not cheap bottles). Unknown to us, the bracket which holds the wine bottles in the door was defective.
Upon opening the door some hours later, the bracket broke away from the door, allowing two bottles of wine to fall onto the tiled floor, both shattering and spilling the contents onto the floor.
I immediately attended the main house where I spoke to the proprietor (Ross), who is a reasonably charming person, and informed him of what had occurred relative to the fridge, and requested some assistance to clean the mess which was now over his kitchen floor in one of the units.
His exact words when I explained to him what had transpired and the defective bracket on the fridge were, "sorry about that". HE THEN GAVE ME A BUCKET AND MOP, EXPLAINING THAT THE MOP WAS BRAND NEW AND SHOULD DO THE JOB."

I had no idea that I was now part of his cleaning crew.

Back to the room, cleaned up the mess caused by the defective fridge. Broken glass and all. Inspection of the bracket revealed that three of the four rubber grommets which hold the bracket into place within the fridge door were missing, thereby rendering the bracket unstable to hold any bottles.

It was then I observed that the smoke alarm (mandatory by New South Wales Law), which is located between the kitchenette and lounge room had the cover hanging down, which could make this imperative safety device inoperable. 

It appears that the maintenance issues of this resort are sorely wanting, apart from losing two bottles of fine wine, and the blasé attitude of the owner regarding this, and of course no offer of compensation, the defective smoke alarm caused me great concern, coupled with the fact that I was made to clean up a large spill within the unit, such spill emanated from the severe lack of maintenance from the management.

This resort, to give it some credit, allows 1 night stays, where a majority in this area have a minimum of 2 night stays. As stated, the rooms are large and light filled with good views of the mountains.  But be wary of opening the fridge door.
