This is a great regional Motel.

Super friendly staff , spotlessly clean and comfortable well appointed rooms.

Rooms have been freshly renovated and its location is right in the heart of town.

Try the Royal Mail Hotel next door for a fabulous pub feed with a couple of drinks.

Great Regional Motel

We were blown away by our experience at Mount Wycheproof Motor Inn.  

We had to travel during the Oct 2022 Victorian floods to get to a family funeral (5 hours away).  We rocked up without a reservation at 8:40pm at night, hoping for the best.  We'd spent five hours on the road and had only made it two hours into our journey because of all the water.

The owner organised a room for us within minutes. And when we asked if there were any food places open in town, she offered us a hot meal - a delicious butter chicken - and didn't even charge us.  

The kind gesture was so unexpected, and we were really grateful.

Amazing kindness

We enjoyed a great stay  at this motel . The new owner was very obliging & helpful . The bed , linen & pillow were very comfortable and the shower was spacious and great pressure . The bathroom is retro and unique . 
I look forward to our next visit .

Great Stay

The motel is old but very clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Facilities are provided for you to be able to eat in the room or there is a hotel serving meals 2 doors down. The owners were so friendly and helpful, suggesting places to eat and visit in the area. I will be back to stay on my next visit to the area.

Friendly stopover

When checking in all the covid protocols were used. I asked if he could suggest a place to eat and recommended the Terminus Hotel where we would get a discount on showing our motel key (which we did, enjoyed an excellent meal and received the discount)
The room was clean and airy. Beds comfy. We had a globe missing from a bedside lamp, rang reception and he came up and replaced. When we thanked him, he said ‘no problems, that’s what I’m here for’
The only tiny little thing that was a bit outdated was the Wi-Fi login info in the visitors guide, but that was sorted when he came to replace globe

Welcoming Stay at the Mount Wychyproof Motor Inn

The motel is basic but immaculate. The rooms are large with a table and chairs and there are utensils for light self catering. There is a grassed area at the rear and the owner keeps some chooks and ducks. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed wandering around the town.

Very friendly people

We stayed here with our teenage children for a night while doing a bit of a counrty roadtrip.
The staff were friendly on arrival and the family room we booked was spotlessly clean, the room was warm and also had electric blankets on the bed.
The bathroom has been tastefully modernised with the main room still keeping its motel charm. If your thinking of staying here its worth a visit.

Lovely Country Motel

Stayed 2 nights at this motel, right on the main street and close to the pubs and other eateries.Room was large and comfortable , and whilst bathroom is from thje seventiesit is large and functional .Room had a settee ,and whilst the tv could be a tad larger it did the job.Lovely cooked traditional country breakfast topped my stay off. Good value for money  .The grain train coming down the main street was a highlight, even though it was at midnight. Check it out.

Beaut little motel

After visiting some of the silo art in the area this worked well for a stop over before heading back to Melbourne. Good size room with comfortable furniture including the queen bed. Very friendly owners who made booking and check in easy. We felt welcome and they gave good advise about town services including places open for dinner.

great road trip stop over

Needed somewhere for a couple of nights while on business in the area. 
Not a lot of other options and the location was good, bloke on reception no worries, and at the end of the day the tariff was acceptable albeit and older establishment.
Clean enough and all that jazz, quite a few guests on arrival which appear to be visiting workers, and I did see the ladies cleaning thoroughly as rooms were vacated.
Only drama is a few gaps around doors and windows which although not sizeable enough to let a snake through, weren't so forgiving with the desert-chilled 'breezes'.
