Hubby and I stayed overnight as we were driving through. The room was large and the water was hot but that was probably the only good points. 
For cold nights the electric blanket would be great but it makes for an uncomfortable sleep as it was very hard. 
The lighting is very dim so you do need to keep the curtains open. 
The room is large enough to have a couch which would be great except for the fact that it was so worn I didn’t want to sit on it. The pillows could also do with an upgrade. They were so thin we had to use our towels underneath them. 
It is out of town which might make it a quiet place to stay but our neighbours on both sides of us were up at 5 talking across the car park. Not so conducive to a lie in on a Sunday.

Bring your own pillow.

Worse night sleep
Bed made my back and sides ache all night. Pillows were that flat our necks were sore. 
Bathroom way to squashy with toilet so close to sink and shower. 
Jug was that black inside.
Would not recommend staying here.


Worse night ever

No one is on site.  I had no soap in my room, no shower accessories (shampoo etc) or complete set of towels (face washer missing).  There was no continental breakfast that was offered and promised.  We had to buy from the local supermarket and then no plate or cutlery to use.  The room was not serviced at all during our stay.  No details left for wifi password.  Toaster was full of rust, as was the kettle which was very hard to fit under the tap to fill up.  TV wifi did not work properly on all channels.

I stay here while working in the area.
Clean, basic room but still warm and comfortable.
Shower was hot and air con worked well.
Friendly helpful staff.
Close to town and nice and quiet.
Very reasonably priced 👍

Overnight stay

Room was neat clean and very comfortable and catered for me n my partner and 3 children management was friendly and attentive to our needs and kids loved sitting around fire pit and toasting marshmallows would recommend stayn at Goldfields motel Blayney

Miss

Last minute phone booking as Orange was booked out, booking and payment over the phone very easy. Key in the door when we arrived.
The room was okay, electric blanket on the bed but no cord connected. Toaster, microwave and kettle but no cups, plates or utensils? 4 pillows but only 3 had pillow slips the other was a bit dirty. Air-conditioning work thank godness as it was zero degrees that night oh and on arrival the carpet was damp.
We needed a bed and thats what we got.

Needed a bed

I stayed here overnight last month.
The motel owner was friendly and easy to deal with.
The rooms are basic, but still very comfortable.
My room was clean, bed was comfortable and the motel was quiet.
I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend 👍.

Overnight work stay

If I stay somewhere and am not happy, usually I’ll just forget it and move on. But I was really disappointed over this place. 

There was never anyone at reception. 

Reverse cycle unit in the room didn’t warm it up at all. Had it on the highest temperature and highest fan setting and we were still freezing. 

Rooms were clearly not being cleaned properly. I found so much hair, crap on the floors everywhere and thick layers of dust. 

Powerpoints near the bed were covered by the mattress. A fire hazard if I ever saw one! 

Shower curtain had chunks of brown on both sides. I hate to think what that even was.

Shower head sprayed water in every different direction.

Paying over $100/night I feel ripped off, disgusting and dirty. 

I’m sorry but this is just not right. 

Won’t be back

On the plus side, the manager seemed to be a nice bloke and the price was on the upper end of budget accommodation, but there were a few problems with the room - the carpet outside the bathroom door was really soaking wet. Using the shower produced a puddle on the floor beside the toilet from leaking under the shower screen and the cold water shower tap was loose, had to be finger tightened to stop it falling off but it just worked loose again. The bed was very hard with no spare pillows so if you need more than one, bring your own. Internet connection was free but very, very slow. Better than sleeping in the car, but we will not be back.

Not recommended

I am not one to complain for the sake of complaining. But Goldfields earned this review. 

Without going into too much depth. 

- There were no staff on site during our 4 day stay, the key was left in the door for us to enter ourselves

- The lobby was locked all weekend, with a phone number to call posted on the door

- When we called the number to clarify reservations and details, the owner Aaron, was belligerent and defensive, telling us to "take it up with our online booking site"  

- The room was not what was booked through booking.com It read two bathrooms in the larger suite, there was only one 

- Owner could not find our reservations through reservation confirmation code. 

- Entering the suite, the rug appeared as though it wasn't properly vacuumed 

- There was no air conditioner in second room

- The toilet had problems flushing #2 

- The hot water handle of the shower faucet was broken 

Happy days in Blayney !  

Recommendations: 

It was a busy event weekend for region so it appears that the hotel management wasn't prepared to accommodate that many guests. The owner of Goldfields also owns another in the town. 

My suggestion would be to find accommodations in Bathurst.
