Good quality apartments if you get the one you book. Don’t bother booking if you have no access to your email account after 5:30 the night before you’re due to check in to the apartment, as you will not have the all important access code for the door.  Not very well serviced as air conditioning did not work in 1 and no gas for hot water in the other we were moved to.

As returning guests who enjoyed our last stay, we booked Executive Oasis Riverside Drive apartment for the Easter long weekend on the 18th of Feb and everything was looking fine till the night before we are were heading of to Narrabri. 
After checking emails several times to find out what our access code would be for our Riverside Drive apartment. We eventually got an email, 9:30 PM confirming our accommodation and access code to get in the apartments. But it wasn’t the ones we originally booked. We were put in the Jenkins Street apartment, 4 minute drive across the other side of town, with out any warning or apology because the air conditioning system broke down. So we had no time or choice to cancel or find some where else, having to except the apartment. 

On arriving the next day we were not impressed that the apartment had stair inside and was very small. We have three small children and did not believe this apartment was practical for them. Our 3 year old fell down the stairs once and our one year old nearly fell down around 5 times. Their was only four chairs at the dining table so if you have a family of five and you like having meals together then you out of luck one of you will have to sit on your own on the lounge, which we did not like. We were happy to put up with this, as we would call it a bachelor pad (small apartment) but living without hot water was very unacceptable. We phoned the Executive Oasis company to let them know and they said they couldn’t do anything about it that we would have to go over to the Riverside Drive apartments that we original booked to have a shower. Two of my kids had cold shower one night and now they have bad coughs. The thing that upset us is they could have put someone with no or older Children in these apartments. As we had noticed when we had to over go to Riverside Drive for a shower, no 3 had 2 adults and one teenage child and no 4 had four adults.  The question is why were these guys put before a family of five with small children and I do not want here the excuses that they booked before us. As we know that’s not true, we had been checking there website every day as other family members were thinking of joining use, and there were still availabilities till two weeks before the Easter long weekend for Riverside Drive apartments. Our children were very unsettled, been moved for one place to another and it has given us a bad taste in the mouth. This makes us unsure if would want to visit Narrabri again, until there are other apartments in Narrabri that our not through Executive Oasis apartments.

We stayed in apartment 2 for one night. We arrived around 5 pm on a day where the temperature had reached 46 C. so realized the place would be pretty hot. We thought it would be ok after a couple of hours though as it had reverse cycle air con. Unfortunately the apartment's system had as much power as a butterfly flapping it's wings and at 2 am it was still 30C the same temp as outside.  Not only that but we had arrived on the day some poor creature died in either the wall space or roof and the smell was horrendous. I did phone the number provided to voice my displeasure so this review will come as no surprise. Yes the apartment is modern, well presented and quiet but in an area that often experiences scorching summer days a useless air con system cancels out all those benefits. Unless you want to sleep in a swish fancy furnace go somewhere cheaper with an old fashioned noisy but cold air blasting air con. I guess this is the problem with electronic check in places, there is no hands on service. If there had been perhaps someone would have noticed the air con was  useless and the dead animal would have been removed.

Hot as Hades

We stayed in Apartment Five for one night for $199. This townhouse was lovely and modern. It had very large bedrooms with a king size bed in the main and ensuite. The second bedroom had two king single beds and a separate large bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet. The linen was so clean and crisp and the beds were ultra comfortable. The living area, kitchen and dining were spacious and ample for a family of four. It was very clean.  It was very quiet and peaceful, and less than five minutes drive to the shops. Highly recommended!
