We paid 3 nights to stay at the MT Gambier International Motel. The 14th,15,and 16th of July 2023. Helen helped drive us places. mark and Helen are hardly at the motel.
But you DONT GET NO RESTAURANT OR BREAKFAST. THERE CLOSED.
NO ACCESS TO THE POOL OR TENNIS COURTS.
The website is way Outdated and the Rooms don't look like website.
ROOMS ARE DISCUSSING. AND DIRTY.
Had stains on the sheets and pillows.
Toilet was broken and dirty.
Stocked only 1 little MIlk 🥛 in fridge.
DONT GET ROOM SERVICE DAILY. Don't Not STAY THERE.

Terrible 

Very outdated motel. The owners are trying to get things renovated but will take years.
The room was outdated but clean.
The shower was a bit hit and miss for pressure.
Quiet location and owners are very friendly.
There is a BBQ for quest use which came in handy

Clean but outdated

It's an absolute disaster! It's a motel, not a 3-star hotel!!! And besides, it's not one of the worst we've ever been to. There's no drinking water (there were water bottles anyway), the entire facility is like a Lost Place, the pool is empty, the restaurant is closed, and there was only cold water in the shower. It's an absolute disaster! And really bad I think the reviews of the last 6 years are the same. Unfortunately, we were forced to stay here because our car was in the workshop. The only thing we can say is positive is that the receptionist (who is also open sporadically) was very nice, even though he was neither visually nor consciously out here. We could always pass a check sooner until later and definitely finished. I can't recommend anyone else to check our car here.

This is an absolute disaster.

Don't waste your money. They use bore water which you can't drink (they give you 1 bottle of water a day) as it's untreated which technically means you are not allowed to shower or bathe in it either, so couldn't shower for a couple days. The tennis court was mouldy to the point the net is yellow. Toilet is extra small you can't shut the door unless you are a the size of a stickstick. No where to cook as you can't cook in bedrooms unless you wanna pay $50 to use BBQ (Not a Depoist) NO quilt covers everything was dusty... place is very outdated.

Absolutely Terrible

If you are a person who values great service over flash glitz and glamour, then come and stay at the international.
From the moment we arrived, we were asked "what we needed and if we were comfortable". 
We were also asked if we wanted fresh coffee in the morning instead of the condiments in the room.
The next morning  we surfaced and were brought fresh coffee to our room.
Service with a smile. It is hard to find honest and genuine caring managers and staff but you get it here.
You don't have to ask, as it is offered here, before you even think of it.
Let's be honest about the Motel.
It is a bit old and tired but it is clean and spacious.  
The rooms are being upgraded at the moment and if you, like I said before, want a happy caring experience, then stay here.
The staff are so nice I will be telling everyone to stay here.

Best service ever

Very old and dated, can’t drink the water- so pipes need upgrade, found spider in bed, although room seemed clean enough. No fly screen on window though. Car parking very good. Ground floor units, not all amenities are in use- ie conference room or restaurant.

Read any previous reviews, They all apply. This place is semi derilict and would make a great set for a period horror movie. If you can't get any other accommodation in Mt Gambier  go to the next town. 

Hard to believe that this is a legitimate business 

This hotel is a disgrace. It is a seedy, scruffy, tired motel with no facilities or redeeming features of any kind.

It looks like it was built in the 1970s and never maintained.

there are no staff on site - there is a local number to ring to get someone to come to check in.

My wife and I were shocked at what we found. We strongly wish payment had not been in advance.

Simply appalling

Even though the staff were accomodating enough, the room looked nothing like the photos. The bed linen was kind of clean, but there were cobwebs in the room and the bathroom was so old, we decided to skip the shower and wait till we were in our next accommodation!

Would not come back

Booked this motel having stayed some years previously.  Lasted all of half an hour.  Dirty and smelly.  There were dead bugs in curtains and a live cockroach in the bed.  Had booked for three nights.  Unfortunately forfeited one night accom fee but flatly refused to stay.     Just dont.
