Great location away from freeway. Close to Resturants and take away, pub just up the road.
Reasonably Priced, Comfortable beds with everything required in your rooms 
Very Nice People 
Highly recommend if your passing through Seymour drop in say hello.
But remember to call David in advance or you will miss out. Vey popular

Value for money

The Wattle was a last resort in a booked out town but no regrets at all. The three things I look for in accommodation are: cleanliness, quiet and comfort. The Wattle had them all and this was at the cheapest rate in town. This is an older motel but couldn’t complain. Worth a visit

Last but not Least

Phoned an hour before close and the manager was very accommodating for our needs and willing to stay open until we arrived.  Very clean and comfortable rooms at great rates. Breakfast in the room was excellent the next morning after a late check in. 

Clean, comfortable and affordable

We stayed here recently on a trip to Melbourne and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The lady who took my booking was so helpful and friendly,check in was easy,the room was very comfortable,spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.Breakfast was reasonably priced and very tasty.
Motel is set back from road and was very quiet.
My only suggestion would be non slip treads in shower recess as the shower base is very slippery.
Great place to stay.

Ideal country stopover

No complaints about the Wattle Motel at all. It was everything we expected from a good motel. Very Clean, the hosts were very amenable, the bed was comfortable, The motel is well located, not off the beaten track, and the accommodation is situated back from the road, so it's easy to get a good night's sleep. 
We would definitely stay there again.

Clean and Tidy

As they say, you get what you pay for. You don't pay a lot you don't get a lot.
The rooms are basic, with very small bathrooms. It's in fact so small, that the hand basin has been located in the main living area. I found this a little odd but it's functional. The rooms are old but in good condition and clean.
I stayed for 5 nights on business and felt the daily housekeeping could be improved. Consider changing the, clearly dirty hand towels, not just quickly make the bed and move on to the next room.
The motel is located on the main road, and yes it's noisy as a consequence.
I did ask about this prior to arriving, and I advised them I am a light sleeper but was assured that "the rooms are made of double brick and it excludes the noise"
That only leaves the single glazing and entry door as a vulnerable avenue for traffic noise entry. Make no mistake it's noisy, regardless of the other reviews you may read !!
It appears to be occupied by tradies, working in the area that leave for work at 6.00-6.15 slamming doors, starting vehicles......not ideal !
I've read of other reviews on TA that speak of this issue.
The breakfast is quite basic but I didn't mind.

A budget motel for a budget price

While the motel is reasonably comfortable, what really stood out for me was the customer service from the young guy who manages this motel. The motel provides a free laundry washing machine, and a clothes line. We ran out of pegs, and the manager specifically went to the supermarket at night to buy more pegs for us. How’s that for service!

Motel manager really service orientated

Sometimes it's the little things in a hotel/motel room that make the difference. Tissues in the bathroom, aircon on when you get there, clean pool to jump into etc. Overnight stay with a heap of friends in a few rooms for a sporting event. Contact and details/changes etc leading up to our stay was all accommodated by helpful people. Rooms are nice, the place is clean and I agree with others that the Royal Hotel just up the road makes great country sized meals! Enjoy a night at Wattle!

Nice people, helpful, no fuss.

The architecture is a bit dated however the rooms are clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Enough space for two or three. The car park is good with an area for trailers or boats. Walking distance to makers or a good Chinese restaurant. It's reasomably close to the motorway and the lakes and about 100k's to Melbourne.
