Have stayed here a couple of times now; right on the beach, good camp kitchen and clean bathrooms with plenty of toilets and showers. Water in the shower is nice and hot! The amenties blocks are perfectly situated. The park is nice and close to Newcastle CBD which is perfect for us. Lexies cafe is a bonus. 

Only downside is people going through rubbish bins and individual site bins within the park at 2:30am each night looking for empty drink cans for their collection. The back end of the park is easily accessible by members of the public which leads to randoms occasionally visiting.

Our stay wasn't long enough!
We so prefer caravan parks over hotels/motels. So much more room to run around and explore, and that close to the beach - how can one argue with that?!
Our 'Villa' was so roomy and comfy. Very happy with the amenities.
For a 6 berth, the cooking amenities could be more BUT there is a BBQ 2 cabins away and the view and sounds of the crashing waves makes for a gorgeous night on the balcony.
I run very cold, so I had to use the 2 spare single doonas and the blanket in the cupboard on the bed, while husband runs hot so had the ceiling fan - best of both worlds for us.
I bring my own container of comforts from home, my own mug, sugar, tea, snacks for the 2 yo but there's enough tea and coffee for a couple nights.
The location of the park is very secluded- over the bridge and away from the hub of Newy but, if accommodated for right, it's perfect. We cooked our first night and went into Newy for our second night.
Most things in Newy are no more than 25 mins away.

Quick midweek trip.

Great location, nice wide sites, we had an ensuite which was excellent and more than fairly priced. Friendly, happy staff, dog friendly with an off leash park and beach at the southern end, terrific Cafe at the other end of the park and walking distance to main St, 3 pubs an rsl and bowlo, really good spot, we will be back

Family catch up

Great caravan park to visit for the weekend or longer. Welcomed by friendly staff. Park well maintained and very clean amenities. We spent the weekend as this was our first trip away in new van. Highly recommend. Close to bowling club and Lexie’s cafe. Great beach and good walk along the break wall.

Relaxing weekend

This is a wonderful park,by far the best camp kitchen. It's amazing how many people gather while cooking a meal in this great space. There is ample seating and also indoor games  to occupy the children while the meal is being prepared.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the amenities very clean.
This park is in walking distance to the local shops, about 15-20 minutes and about 10 minutes walk to the Newcastle ferry.

Great park and location.

What a great park.  Staff were very friendly and professional from first phone call till end of stay.  Toilets, showers and camp kitchen were super clean.  Walk to the beach 1min, walk to sea wall 3 mins, walk to cafe 4mins.
Excellent really wide sites (we used out own mat) and most importantly we could bring our fur baby.  There is no pool on site however there is a great swimming centre a two min walk from the back gate (really cheap entry fee). Interesting watching the tops of the huge ships come into the harbour from our camp chairs.  Terrific all round. Will be back for sure.

Nice park. Great staff. Stayed on an unpowered tent site in my van. Asked for a good site. 50 metres to the sand. Awesome place. Even better as a group with old skool caravans booked in. Like Cooly Rocks On but in Newcastle. I will be back. I am thinking this will be my place to stay when returning to Newcastle.

Quick Stop Over on way to sons wedding

Sadly not a good experience. Unpowered sites are ridiculously small and next to road which is noisy. Park is not secured and open to anyone wanting to come in and help themselves to your valuables. Left after one night although had booked for two nights. One positive was the clean amenities. 

Not the best.

Ammenities good.
Maintenance poor e.g. our site was not level (from previous deep wheel tracks)
uncut grass in places, matting beside where you park the van  was disgraceful..torn and tatty, 
We were booked for 3 nights, but chose to only stay 2 nights. We did get a credit, but will NOT take up this offer, as this was the worst caravan park we stayed at during our six weeks away.

Not recommended

Very friendly and helpful staff. Kitchen area & amenities well kept and were sparkly clean. Great place. We came in with our campervan and we were located crawling distance from the beach. 

Pet friendly too, still super clean.
