Swan Hill

Park location is amazing with beautiful walks along the river.   The cabin itself was really nice.  On arriving we collected our key but unfortunately we didn't appreciate being asked if we had any extra children, pets or stowaways in our car.  The only stowaways we had were in our cabin .... mice.

Very friendly reception on arrival. I was part of a large group of motorcyclists and we were given a large area to set up camp. The grass surfaces were comfortable for tents and the hardstand areas good for storing the bikes.
The shower and toilet facilities were immaculate and I particularly liked the generous amount of hooks in the showers.
A great place to stay. Very short hike to a number of pubs and RSL.


Lovely place to stay, great facilities

Can’t fault the place. Magnificent. Only problem was that we came on the train and found that walking to shops etc was made difficult as park is a few hundred m between rail crossings. For a railway that is in action 4 times a day, surely a pedestrian crossing could be put in? More families like ours are looking to ditch the car, and it was good for our step count! But we guess no one wants to walk and extra k or two a day once the Mallee heat turns up. Lobby the council, get a crossing and you’ll be able to lure backpackers and pedestrian families like ours with the promise of rail convenience after a gorgeous journey from Southern Cross.

Park faultless, but needs a rail crossing point!

First time at park without caravan. Disappointing. Cabin was without cleaning amenities and no tea towels. The dish cloth was a green scourer cut in quarters. I had a quarter. So went out and bought supplies for dishes at cheap shop. Internet so slow and kept disconnecting. Remove for tv didnt work properly. Dvd player unplugged and I couldn't get to it at the rear of tv. Fridge was set too hugh and first morning all my fruit and veg was frozen and wasted. Overall thought the price too high for a basic cabin. Other parks I have had bigger more deluxe with spa far cheaper.

Cabin retreat

Ordinary from start to finish. Thursday night and over $200 for a small cabin.  Road noise, train noise and yahoo noise from a nearby parking lot. Wifi is non-existent. Nothing out of the ordinary here and dearest accommodation from Sydney to Adelaide.

Don’t advertise Wifi if you can’t provide it!

We stayed in the Luxury Cabin for 2 nights.  It was a beautiful cabin.  The decking was spacious and wonderful.  Gas grill for your use.  The inside was comfortable.  Great layout.  Loved having 2 bathrooms.  Beds were very comfortable.  The view was amazing and is the best view in the whole park.  The Luxury cabin is expensive though - $435AUD per night.  Two recommendations for this cabin:  1. an outdoor ceiling heater would be a valuable addition for winter nights so you can sit on the deck, it could be put on a timer to save electricity; 2. an in-unit washer/dryer would have been awesome especially for the price of the cabin.  It is a caravan park after all.

Laundry facilities were clean but get your $1 coins ready - it is $5 per washing load, and cost about $10 to dry the clothes.

Overall - it is a beautiful park within walking distance to Pioneer Settlement.  A fabulous public park is right next door too. The reception clerks were very friendly and most helpful.  We would stay there again if we are ever back in Australia and in that area.  Great stay.

Lovely and clean park with great views of the river

What a great park, and our cabin was ready on arrival. Large enough for us to take our ebikes inside. Roomy cabin, a little tired looking inside, but had all we needed. One thing that should be changed. When walking into the main bedroom, the cupboard on the left near the door, for some reason had a wooden ledge that stuck out. My husband being tall, had to be very careful, as he was very close to hitting it with his head, especially getting up in the dark. Just needs to be trimmed off to make it safe. Nice verandah on the front. Good location.

Great park

Well run Park with splendid pool area. Well situated being within walking distance to shops. On the river with a lovely park next to it. Stayed in a studio cabin which had all the facilities for a pleasant stay with a good size verandah off it. Negativity is that there is no privacy when sliding door curtains are opened, which you need to do for light as there are no windows except for bathroom. Lounge also sank down a bit. Otherwise, good clean accommodation and priced well.

great park great staff birds a bit noisy still enjoyed it will definatly back site nice and level  pool great centrily lockated would definatly recomend to styay there thats all i can saywhen hip is fixed wli be back

Very disappointed with this park. Had to cancel as we are sick with COVID.  Gave 4 days notice (more than the advertised required 72hrs) but they will not even credit our deposit to travel later in the year.  

Won't be staying at this park in the future.
