Our stay at St Raphael’s in the Chapel was an absolute treat!  The converted nun’s holiday convent is set in a beautiful old rambling garden and full of history. The Chapel has a large, comfortable living and dining area, a well-appointed kitchen and large bathroom with a spa. There is a second bedroom and bathroom so it’s suitable for two couples or a family. Everything is clean and comfortable and hosts Maurice and Kerrie are lovely (if you are lucky enough to meet them). 
One of the highlights of our four days in Leura was the ‘Bygone Beauties’ Devonshire teahouse and teapot museum which is owned by St Raphael’s owners. There are literally thousands of antique teapots and every imaginable sort of modern teapot, as well as lots of antique crockery and giftware for sale. The Devonshire tea was superb and the rooms full of teapots and curious bits and pieces are amazing … you could browse for days and hours. 
Cann't wait to go back another time!

An absolute treat!

My wife booked a 2 night stay here for a short break. It is really close to leura township. We stayed in the old chapel it is really spacious and comfortable.
Would happily stay here again, we got to look at the convent section and it was alot larger and would easily sleep 2-3 couples with a hige kitchen and living/sunroof area.

Very comfortable stay

Recently stayed at beautiful St Raphael's in Leura and what a treat.  We stayed in the Old Chapel and were absolutely delighted with the size and quality of the accommodation.  Ease of access with a code emailed prior and key in security box at door so no official check in.  Room was huge with a beautiful big bed raised on a 3 step platform, beautiful bathroom with corner spa bath, fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook anything yourself, large comfortable lounge with great TV and DVD.  Everything was presented beautifully with nothing left wanting.  The grounds are stunning.  5 minute walk into the shopping/eating precinct of Leura passed a lovely old archway with decaying stone walls surrounding it (haven't discovered yet what they are the remains of if anyone can help).  This is a stunning property in a wonderful location and would have no hesitation booking another weekend away here.  Short drives in any direction present all the beautiful views the Blue Mountains has to offer.

Old school charm with modern luxury

I stayed in The Priest’s Cottage. It is a lovely little cottage that is perfect for one or two people. It has everything you need for a few nights stay. 

Bed was reasonably comfortable and there was adequate pillows and blankets available. 

Kitchen is separate from the bedroom area. it has all the amenities with a small table and chairs. There is a microwave, and hot plate. Tea and coffee making facilities. 

Bathroom and shower area is a decent size. The shower has a massive rainfall shower head which i’m normally not a fan of but this one was very good. 

Shampoo / conditioner / soap and hand sanitizer is provided. Air conditioning worked a treat and kept the place warm all night. Lots of mirrors both in the bathroom area and living area although no full length mirror unfortunately. 

The surrounding rounds are lovely and the cottage has lovely natural views of the trees. 

i would def recommend this property. My only suggestion is maybe it’s time to update the towels. 😊

Charming stay

We stayed at the convent July 23rd and 24th. My sister and brother in law we stayed in the 2 bedroom convent unit. Kitchen was awesome very well equipped unit was toasty warm and two towels each was generous. Beds were comfortable and it was awesome being able to walk to leura mall. Electric blankets appreciated and location excellent. Highly recommend to others and would choose to stay here again if at leura in the near future. Booking was easy and everything is well appointed . Helen and Graeme 

July visit to Leura 

We only stayed one night but loved it! The best shower in the world and just so cute! Had everything that we needed. Just a bit of a draught coming in under the front door - we put a towel down there which did the trick. Had a great sleep, very comfortable. Was too cold to go out so we ordered Indian - delivered without a hitch.

The Priest’s Cottage

My adult step-daughter and I stayed at St Raphael’s, in The Convent, for two nights. 

The location was great... just a brief walk to the main street with restaurants, cafes, and shopping. 

The apartment is huge, with one or two bedrooms, a large and impressive kitchen (with glimpses of the valley), peaceful gardens (that I would love to see in spring time), and a lovely fireplace (which we didn’t need because it’s also centrally heated). 

We had a minor mix up re the bedding configuration but the owner addressed it quickly and professionally. 

I had originally intended to book an AirBnB but received no response to my enquiry so kept looking. When I came across St Raphael’s, I contacted them directly and got a great deal. 

I would highly recommend St Raphael’s in Leura. 

Excellent Leura accommodation 

This is "high end" holiday living with every possible detail considered. It has a genteel elegance seldom found in similar corporate accomodation.
It represents excellent value for the quality and comforts provided.
Maurice, the host, has an exceptional gift of hospitality.
