the old pacific motel-- just a little better than 3 rating .. did stay here regularly 30 years ago and nothing much has changed except the property is updating rooms 1 x one.. we were in one of these rooms with little niceties.  e.g.good size fridge,kitchen type area.. not a lot you can do with the space(not huge). when rooms are finished you will have b.b.q. and pool to compliment..  really for short stay you cannot complain too much with a rate of $100.. close too main shopping area of size = sailing club near for ambience and meals at reasonable price and quantity...you do not have to drive far to explore the local region..  that is places like Wingham,Combyne,Harrington etc.....forgot to say the pacific does have 2 bedroom units at rear of property..
overall not too bad if you don,t expect the world..

2 night birthday weekend

We had a standard queen room and whilst it was a bit small it was quite adequate for the night.
Good bed, nice towels and toiletries, tea making facilities (hats off to whoever chose jugs suitable to fit under the sink taps) and the much appreciated, fast diminishing complimentary biscuits.
Situated in the Main Street it's an easy level, short walk to restaurants and bars.
Parking at the unit door for those with mobility problems.
On site pool.
All in all a pleasant stay.

Old but............very clean!

Typical appearance of the older style less modern motels however the A/C (heat) was quiet and effective. The room had basic cutlery, microwave and toaster which was a bonus and had us heading to the local IGA for the makings of a convenient quick meal. Bed was comfortable, sheets & pillows appeared quite new and the sleep quality was 4.5/5.
Not much more you could ask for when seeking a simple no fuss stop over!

Nice little surprise

made booking a few months in advance at no time were we told that breakfast was not available due to using that room for storage of stuff from rooms that had been closed due to non compliance with fire regulations, the highlight had to be finding mice droppings in the room and then discovering mice living in the base of the bed no sleep was gotten that night, when we tried to advise the office there was no one available so we took our breakfast money to an clean and reputable multi international establishment could not wait to get out of the town

dont bother

The motel is on the old highway in Taree, local trafic only now, so it was quiet convenient place to stay.  Checkin was easy and the room was a good size with modern furniture.  Comfortable bed and convenient bathroom.  I would stay there again next time I need to stay overnight in Taree.

Pleasant convenient motel in Taree

The best: clean, nice treat, free WIFI, comfortable bed, quiet. The worst: small room, almost non-existent bedspreads, bathroom improvement. The reception was very nice. It is located on the road but no noise is heard from the room. The bed is comfortable although the bedspreads are tiny. The right side of the bed is too narrow to pass through. The sink has independent faucets which makes it impossible to use warm water. The mirror has a shed with which it is easy to darse al agacharse. It has a very cozy pool with benches and vegetation. It has no kitchen. It is clean and perfect for visiting the village and even spending a few days.
