The check-in takes place in the pub, and at first it's scary. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, and on request we were given a quiet room in the back. The room and bathroom are very clean, and the place and coffee powder are a nice addition.

Staying at Tennent Creek

What this motel lacks in street appeal it certainly makes up for it in every other way. Beautifully clean with attention to the little details to make the guest fee welcome and secure. Our vehicle was secure behind locked gates as well. I would happily stay here again and I believe it was excellent value for the price.

Beautifully clean and tidy, happy to recommend!

We were fooled by the photos. This has more of a HOTEL  feel than a motel. Manager was rude and frankly seemed more worried about pulling beers for the locals than accommodating house guests.  Rooms were clean but aged and door flimsy given the barbed wire surrounds. Environment may suit transient workers but suggest couples/families find something more appropriate.

Couldn't leave quick enough.

Like other reviewers have stated, when we first saw the motel we thought what had we done.......but don't let the external aesthetics turn you off. The room was impeccably clean, comfortable beds, nice hot shower and with all the amenities you need such as kettle, toaster and microwave. Carpark was secure with full high fence, locked gate and floodlit lighting.  Heard no noise from the pub. Ended up staying on 2 separate occasions. The only negative was on our second stay we were woken at 8am by housekeeping knocking and asking if we were still in the room and then she came back 1/2 hr later unlocked the door and walked straight in without knocking. She apologised but come on, that's unacceptable.

Nice surprise

Room was okay, bed was okay. There were some lively locals about 2am with shouting/arguing going on for several hours so we were glad that the compound was locked up overnight.  Some good things to see and explore around the town during the day and a good Chinese restaurant straight across the road. We didn’t try the restaurant at the pub.

Good Location

The hotel was comfortable enough, but the reception its hard to find.  The man running the place is a rude pig of a man. If you must stay here do yourself a favour and go to the RSL and get a courtesy bus in and out. We asked the rude man where we could get a meal and he was very unhelpful.  We stumbled across the RSL. The hotels in the main street were all closed. Most people running motels would let you know where to get something to eat and if there is a courtesy bus but not this rude man. Don't stay here unless you have to 

RUDE PUBLICAN

Checkin was friendly and quick.  Room was clean and looked nice, with a Mintie lolly left on our towels☺️ Room was well stocked with tea and coffee, packet of biscuits for arrival, all very nice, shower had plenty of hot water.  We ate in Hotel for dinner, huge portions of food, lacked a little attention to detail as with most pub food, designed to “fill the hole”, served with icy cold beer but at least you don’t have to venture out.  Car parking was at front door of room and area is locked at night for safety so everything is very secure. Staff were very nice and obliging.

Clean and comfortable

Had meals here on numerous occasions and at one point they were reasonable but over subsequent visits they seem to be best avoided. They like many establishments in this town suffer the ability to be consistent with offerings on the menus...at best it's a lucky dip. Tonight's investment was meant to be a rump steak, well done, as requested. As so many times the meal arrives with the selection of meat, unrested, and sitting atop the mash potato.  Once again the mash is destroyed as its covered in mushy fats etc. What is so hard with placing the meat to the side of the veg...plates more than big enough...it's all about presentation and it's not rocket science. Naturally the steak WAS not well done as requested and was bleeding like a stuck pig. Thanks for wasting my $25. The  waitress/barhand was as expected from a back packers, very uninterested in rectifying the problem and not even giving a refund. Repeated mutterings of I'm sorry don't cut it and is very patronising. My mistake for giving you one more chance...trust me...never returning again. 

Seriously...why so hard to get it right

Stayed here with the family, had queen size beds and 2 bunks, clean toilets, hot water was great. Manager was a legend letting us back in at 6am when we locked our keys inside - Secure parking behind a massive fenced Area and padlocked gates. Heard no noise.  Highly recommended and it was cheap

Excellent 

The process of check in and out was smooth. No issues at all. The room was large enough and met our needs. We only stayed one night, the location was in the middle of town. The devils marbles pub  nearby was a great place to eat and swim.
