Clean spacious room. Comfortable bed, well appointed. Very helpful, friendly staff with a sense of humour which always helps. Great value for money. 
Perfect position across the road from the main street. What more could you want for a quick stopover between Sydney and Melbourne?

Perfect for an overnight stay, clean, comfortable and walking distance to everything in Gundagai! 50 mtrs to the Main Street, food & shops, 100 mtrs to the Golf Course, a short walk to the river along pathways

Perfect location for overnight stay

A great value place to stay just at the end of the main street. Place is a little aged but very clean and comfortable.  Easy parking right out front of the room. Excellent value. Ring them and book direct is the easiest way to go

Great place to stay

 Clean room and bathroom and comfortable bed. But no microwave as in many other motels off highway. Also, thin walls to room : phone calls plainly heard on one side and snoring on the other. Advertised price $100, but charged $115 for phone booking - go figure as Americans might say. 

Basic accomodation

Pretty good motel. Small room, but all immaculate and bathroom was good, and renovated recently enough.  Friendly, helpful staff. Well located, just off the freeway and a short walk for dinner options.

Driving back to Melbourne and needed to stop. Just v lucky to find motel had a cancellation. Julie was very helpful and checkin quick and efficient. Room was very clean and everything in good working order. Shower was excellent. Would stay there again. Thanks.



Exceeding Expectation.

Good motel for stopovers. Easy to find, close to a highway. Not much to see around. Room ok with fridge, kettle and TV. Clean room and bathroom. Close parking. Good for one night. A microwave or a toaster would na a good addition.

On the way to Sydney

Good motel, room provided everything we need for a break on our travels to Victoria. Room was clean and tidy. Parking in front of room. No traffic noise. Easy walk to find dinner down the main st. We were surprised how lovely Gundagai is. Worthy of a stop over not far in from the highway.

Good value Motel in Gundagai

We stayed at the Gundagai Motel on our way to Melbourne after holidaying in NSW. We were pleasantly surprised at the excellent service.. how clean and well set out and thoughtfully prepared the rooms were. Overall a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend this motel

Pleasant Surprise

We seem to find ourselves doing the Sydney to Melbourne run and vice versa regularly over the last few years.  Often we try to get out of Sydney the night before, but have struggled to find somewhere decent and convenient enough to spend a night between Yass and Gundagi - no longer!

Gundagai Motel was exactly what you want in a place to stay to break up your trip with the family.  Plenty of room, very close to the highway, still quiet (we slept through everyone else leaving the next day), and even though we ended up getting in VERY late (11pm) the staff helped us get in and even made sure the heater was on in advance. 100% recommend.
