We stayed overnight in Hartberg and came across this lovely little hotel. In addition to well-equipped large rooms with beautiful bathrooms, the excellent breakfast in a pleasant breakfast room stands out in particular.

That's good.

After being „locked down“ for several months, a few freedoms of movement were allowed so I looked immediately for the opportunity to see different walls. This hotel was the perfect choice. Great location in Hartberg, around the corner from the town square, next to the old castle. Great view of the hills from our balcony and the bed was so comfortable I had a hard time getting up in the mornings. But I dragged myself up every day, otherwise I would have missed the breakfast. Oh my, it was delicious! Fresh eggs made to your liking as well as a buffet with many great choices. Staff was very forthcoming and friendly. All new rules due to the Corona virus were strictly adhered to, which makes all our lives harder, but especially in the hospitality business. Thank you Hotel Alter Gerichtshof for making us feel safe and relaxed. We loved our stay.

Travel during „New Normal” Corona Times

We spent more than a week in the Old Courthouse and enjoyed our stay here very much. The rooms are large and very tastefully furnished. Each room has a large balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. The breakfast leaves no wishes open and the staff is extremely friendly and very attentive. Although the hotel is only about 5 minutes away from the main square, it is completely quiet here. The hotel is perfectly suited as a home base for excursions to Eastern Austria, the Volcanoes or the southern Burgundy. We felt very comfortable here and are really happy to come back.

To feel good!

Detail-lovingly furnished hotel in an old-fashioned building not far from Hartberg's main square (3 minutes walk) - nice quietly situated rooms with a comfortable bed and small but fine bathroom (beautiful large shower) - private balcony overlooking the vast park-like courtyard - extremely extensive and high-quality breakfast - spicy coffee, a wide selection of sausages and cheeses, vegetables, fruit, yogurt, cereal, marmalade, honey and delicious egg yolks - in addition, various recipes can be prepared (completely with ham and egg whites with cornbread as a snack) - and high-quality pork and pork - we love to make everything extremely healthy and delicious - we love to come back and serve it very much. 👍

Hartberger jewel at the castle park

I'm happy to come here, posted on 9.7.2020 and now again on 3.8.2020. Family-run hotel with only 16 rooms and high standard. On the 1st to 3rd floors the rooms are especially large, on the 4th floor the rooms are of the usual size, but for this with a beautiful view over the roofs of Hartberg, the church tower and the landscape. All rooms have balcony. Rich breakfast and four different daily newspapers. No bar operation (or only in exceptional cases), therefore also quiet.

Very pleasant

The Navi easily led us to the free parking lots right in front of the house. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city (but it's only a 3-minute walk to the busy main square), in a well-kept park, the balconies (all rooms have balconies) are park oriented and very quiet.

Good location, good hotel

We stayed for six days in the old courthouse. The courthouse is located in the center of the old town of Hartberg and is in perfect peace. All the rooms overlook a very nice garden. The room was very nice and cozy and, above all, really big. The breakfast was really delicate. All the products are of fine quality. We feel best cared for and taken care of.

Very nice hotel.

We were so warmly received in this house that we immediately decided to come back. The hostess is a very friendly and kind person. You feel comfortable right away. You get tips about the surroundings promptly. The rooms are splendidly generous and perfectly cleaned. Breakfast is a boon to the soul. The general location is very good... a cat jump from the main square and great bush bark is also in the vicinity. The old courthouse and Hartberg area have absolutely deserved to come back a second time.

Absolutely recommended, we'll be back!

On our way to Romania we stopped without booking, a cozy hotel, very neat for cleaning and fine-tuning details. Spacious, bright and quiet rooms. Rich breakfast with superior products. Private parking we were interested in having the charging machine. Very kind staff.

This is a great hotel.

This is the second time we slept here, in less than a year. It has been a pleasant experience, again. The room we had is very clean, generously sized, with a large balcony offering a nice view of the courtyard and the quiet surroundings. The breakfast is indeed very good: plenty of choices, good quality fresh food, attentive staff, cozy Austrian atmosphere. The location is very close to the main square (5 min walk) and there is a parking inside the property. Unfortunately, there is no late evening coverage of the reception desk, so we had the stress of arriving in time, because the “stau” zones around Graz.
