As the last reviews are 5 years old I can only assume management has changed since then.
I have never been spoken to so rudely as by the man managing breakfast and check outs. Breakfast ends at 09.30 on a weekend and check out is at 10.00 which is ridiculous. The place is far from the centre, over-basic and the breakfast is terrible.

Never again 

I was a regular guest there for years, actually a relatively quiet, pleasant hotel with good office connections. When I stayed last week, the heating was turned off in both nights (despite complaining after the first icy night). That's not possible, I'll never stay there again. I always had a corner double room with plenty of space and a big bed. But what's the use of it when you freeze at night. The heating is turned on completely before midnight and not turned on again until about 6:30 in the morning.

The hotel is located in a very quiet residential area. It is more suitable for guests with a car, as there is plenty of parking and free of charge. Very clean rooms, large enough. Modern furnished. Service/reception very friendly. Check-in via code 24h is possible. We were here for the second time and were completely satisfied this time too.

I'm satisfied again.

The hotel's atmosphere is almost a bit sterile. The bar and breakfast room are fine, but not ideal for cozy social sitting. There are few restaurants nearby, 1x Chinese restaurant (The Wall) about 500m. Relatively convenient to the open transport. The price (92€ DZ) we found was reasonable, breakfast price (8€ p.p.) compared to other hotels nearby (up to 15€). The staff was very friendly, we were overall very surprised by this hotel.

Very pleasant hotel

I have stayed in this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights! My experience has been positive according to these criteria: - Very kind staff and always available for advice on the city of Vienna - Clean, beautiful and comfortable rooms, you have at your disposal 2 cabinets with hangers, a refrigerator and the ventilator - The bathroom is clean and tidy, every day the towels are changed and the bathroom is cleaned - Breakfast is included in the overnight stay, only problem is that there is not a very large choice of food and drinks but all in all it is good - There are no re-opening times to open the main door just to use the room door - The area is very quiet and clean, besides being well served by public transportation which is 20 minutes away from the main port of Vienna (Weien) - The cost of this hotel and the parking lot was EUR 3.5 and my overall assessment of the hotel was positive.

I'm at the Spiegeln Hotel.

I slept in this hotel during advent, and I was pleased. Rooms are clean and neat, staff friendly, food is great, everything is new and nice. I have the impression that this is a relatively new hotel, which in architectural terms is very beautiful. The hotel has a large parking lot, though with a narrow entrance (especially if you drive a big weichle like me), and locate is in a very secure environment. I recommend this hotel!

Nice small hotel

The lobby is modern and resembles a seminar hotel, but the rooms are very old-fashioned and look like a youth hostel. They are spacious for this purpose. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is well arranged and delicious.

Price performance OK

We have returned to this hotel after 6 years and I have to admit that the bright thing is the sudden drop it had: from 4 abundant stars that I would have given him I find myself today having to give it to them 3. The hotel itself is very nice and clean, although it is about half an hour away from the centre by bus, but the residential area where it is located is quiet, although a little dead at night. The rooms are also very clean, although a little Spartan, but definitely comfortable and the staff is also kind and available. The drop I am talking about is however present in the offers compared to 6 years ago: the quality of the food is not at all poor and c very little choice; the quality of the dinner, breakfast is also a bit more fragile, and it was probably served at a very low cost, but of course I would not want to see a decrease in the hotel's price, but I would certainly not recommend it, but of course I would not want to see a decrease in the hotel's price.

Well, not very well.

We came back to this hotel six years later and this time we were a little disappointed. The price is higher than what is being offered. Breakfast is undoubtedly less rich and there is little choice. We also tried to have dinner at the hotel, but the costs are high and the quality of the dishes is poor. The staff is always polite. We think the price ratio is not as affordable as six years ago....

Traveling with family... six years later!

The hotel is equipped as a seminar hotel and offers all the details of a good hotel. Good parking and good breakfast.
