First impressions of the Raphael Suites were good.  Good communication in the run up to our stay, helpful suggestions of storing luggage (as there is no reception area or anywhere to store luggage before the 4pm check in time).  The location is good.  Close to shops and restaurants and on entering the suites (we had the one on the first floor so not too many stairs to climb) it looked good.  However..... it was some little touches that were disappointing.  There was a soap dispenser in the kitchen and shower gel in the shower - these were empty.   The overhead shower worked OK but the hand held attachment did not as the knob was missing from the fittings rendering it useless.  However the most annoying element was that the towels (at least one bath towel) were filthy.  We raised this via the messaging system and were told it would be sorted out urgently.  At the time of leaving it wasn't - and that was several days later.  I realise these may not seem like big issues but the accommodation isn't cheap and these types of situation leave a bitter taste overall.

Some positives but some negatives too

The apartment is perfectly located in the center of Antwerp, the decor is neat, the contact with the owner is excellent, nothing to say! We could do everything on foot, we didn't even use our car.

Great experience 

Stayed here for one night. Raphael Suites are located in a very nice building at the intersection of the upscale shopping street Schuttershofstraat and the lively Wapper with its many bars and terraces, all just around the corner of Antwerp’s main shopping avenue Meir, the theatre and the open air market. Public area and room clearly designed with taste and eye for detail. Did not get the access code upfront but got it immediately upon phoning. Small tip: provide more than just two coffee pads, tea bags and bottles of water in the room specifically as the hotel does not have a bar or restaurant on site.

Location of the property is good, people with luggage will find it difficult to take them through narrow stairs (rooms start from 1st floor). Try to get the access code before arrival as it becomes very annoying calling from the entrance, unable to get in after a long haul. After you call, they send the access code via text message, so would need a working phone as well (international travellers!)

Reasonably Good!

A very nice suite in the hyper centre. Everything is done on foot. We left the car in a parking lot just a few minutes walk away. A very neat décor, a very nice bathroom and an excellent bed. An original place (no reception) quiet. Suite 5 even has a small terrace! Very chic!

Three beautiful suites.

Lovely accommodation near the Rubenshaus and near the Meir. No breakfast, no reception - just a toll lock. For this purpose, the interior was kept in a thin yellow red purple. Our room was kept in a modern chick aquamarine. The lack of an elevator does not make the narrow stairs wider either 😉

The Other Hotel

After finally having made it through countless detours we found a near by parking garage and made it to Raphael Suites. The place is located in an elegant part of the city and virtually every major site can be reached on foot.
We can only speak for one of the apartements. It was on the 3rd floor and proved to be very quiet. Our apartment was small albeit perfectly equipped. The bathroom fittings were modern, the bed was perfect, although 2 instead of 1 duvet would have been better. As to the kitchenette: OK for breakfast but not for real cooking. 
Some have complained about the steep staircase. True, but the bright side is that the extra exercise is good for your health.

Great location for discovering Antwerp

A large, very luxurious bed, a very pleasant bathroom and an original decoration from the common to the bedroom. Everything is well organized by the guests, including a message received the day before and the same day for all the logistical details.

Very well located and very comfortable

Spotlessly clean accommodations with high end tasteful finishes. On a main street in the center of Antwerp that is silent from street noise.  Bathroom and shower is very large and well appointed in all respects.  Also contains a small but efficient kitchenette.  The only negative here is the steep stairway leading to the rooms which makes it difficult if you have a lot of luggage.
