It's a nice place.

This is a very nice hotel on the outskirts of Semois, the room is small but functional, and the meals, the presentation, the dishes and the quality of the food, we 'll go back.

Magnificent region, comfortable and super calm hotel located just a short walk away, beautiful large terrace overlooking a pleasant garden on the Semois, welcoming, unbeatable prices in half a guesthouse with top lunch and delicious menu 4 services in the evening...

A wonderful address

We were coming from Lacuisine and stopped there during our long walk. A good Orval on the lawn overlooking the Semois in an idyllic setting We had to return to Lacuisine and had already walked ten kilometers. The friendly Master of the Hotel Les Comtes de Chiny kindly offered to drive us back to the Lacuisine Bridge. His hotel is currently undergoing some further work on the terraces, which will allow guests to enjoy more in the short term the paradisiacal view on the Semois. The Hotel Les Comtes de Chiny is certainly already in Chinyer, I am sure, for their view.... which, and since we have not eaten there, I recommend a nice accommodation for their kindness and hospitality.

Sustainability

After two wonderful days in half boarding house (very quiet night, rest in the meadow by the Semois, superb hikes, excellent food on the beautiful terrace), we had a personal concern and decided to go home after dinner when we had to stay normally one more night. We thought we would pay for our entire stay which would have been normal (because at 6pm, too late to relocate the room) but the hotel was super understanding and we didn't have to pay for the night.

In the heart of nature, with all the comforts

Avoid if at all possible. Very agressive owner (maybe he has mental health issues) Very poor service. One of the worst places in the region. Very bad experience. Loads of very good restaurants in the region; this is not one of them.

Last-minute booked accommodation... oven and mill boss... half boarding house... really delicious dining and picnic... comfortable bedside table... really welcoming staff who care about the customer, satisfied.

Living in nature and very quiet

You come here once and 20 years later you still come back. A beautiful site, a simple but charming hotel, a refined kitchen, and above all a like home welcome. Yes of course as the situation requires wearing a mask is mandatory in all public spaces, in the hallways, on the terrace, it's not the bosses who require it, it's the law, and disrespecting the bosses is risking having their establishment shut down with everything that it entails. So to make the most of this super hotel, let's put the saying all for one and one for all.

It's heaven.

We came here with my in-laws for a special excursion that I wanted to do since we hadn't seen each other for a long time during the lockdown period. Even though the hotel is well situated and the food is pretty good - don't expect anything extraordinary - the stay left me with a bitter taste because of the owner's rude behavior. It was the worst treatment I've ever received from a hotel owner. It was just the moment when the mask started to be mandatory to move around the lobby of the hotel and the restaurant. At one point I was working in the hotel bar and I heard my two-year-old son scream outside of the hotel to say that we could not be wearing a mask without feeling humbled and then I could not have been pursued, so I began to forget that we were all wearing a mask, so I began to feel the presence of the masks, and if I hadn't been invited to this place, I would have been so far away from the masks, and if I hadn't hadn't been able to get away from it, I would have been able to get away from it.
