Brumas Hostel

Brumas Hotel is a great accommodation option in Ouro Preto. 

It is within walking distance to the bus terminal; and close to the old town, shops, and places of interest. 

Dauvian granted us early check-in; and gave us a room with a great view of the town against the mountains. Matheus and Patrick were also helpful. 

Wifi connection was reliable. The bed was comfortable. 

There was only 1 power outlet in the room, and another one in the bathroom (which wasn't working). The room can be better with more hanging points for clothes.

Close to the Bus Station

I was staying with Adriana, so I am writing in addition to her assessment. Our experience was the worst possible. By the hostel owner's response to Adriana's assessment it is possible to notice how she treats the guests. The stay began in a chaotic way. As previously narrated, several attempts were made to check-in. The situation was so stressful that one of the guests who were with us suffered a seizure at the hostel reception and had to be attended by the Fire Department and sent to the Emergency Care Unit of the Black Gold ambulance, where she remained interned for one night.

It was a bad experience.

I made the booking for the carnival in November, leaving half the combined amount paid for a suite for four people. A week before the trip, Mrs. Sonia informed that she could not accommodate me and the other three people because she was receiving some Vale workers in the hostel, so she wanted to accommodate us somewhere else seven minutes away from there, which we did not accept due to the privileged location of the Mist. Then Mrs. Sonia accepted our stay. When we arrived at the hostel, at 16:30, our room was not yet ready, and check-in takes place at 14:00.

It's awful!

The hostel is well located, good breakfast and the comfortable room, good cost-benefit ratio, has parking for guests, which is great, we were very well taken care of, I'm sure I'd stay again.

Great location.

A great hostel, various environments for relaxing and studying. A wonderful shared kitchen. A nice staff member and very polite owner. An old house, characteristic of Ouro Preto, close to several other tourist spots. Because it is very large, it has several environments where you can study, because it is located in a university city, I think it is an ideal hostel for those who travel to Ouro Preto for academic events and who need to take advantage of some part of the day to study some presentation topic. The decoration brings a warmth of historic city and interior, I felt at home.

Wonderful hospitality

The mansion is huge, the staff attendance is very good. Breakfast. I stayed in a shared room, but empty. Old but very carefully! Well located, right at the beginning of the historic center, about 3 minutes from Tiradentes Square.

You little bitch!

Good breakfast service, good WiFi, friendly staff, reasonable facilities, close to the square where the churches are located, also close to the bus station, as I had to stay alone for half a day for the departure, they gave me a reasonable price.

A good example of this is a good marriage.

We spent two nights there with a group of teenagers. An old, dirty, inhospitable establishment. The 'basement' rooms are wet, smelly, and full of beasts.. missing tiles in the windows, unfortunate shower hygiene! The ones on the ground floor are not much better. The bedding is very bad. Very brief breakfast, dirty tables, moisture-stained tables. Clean but stained or holed linens. Supplementary toiletries.

Aside from the situation...

They offer a good breakfast, the beds are not very comfortable and we always found dead animals in our saunas, because if it is attractive that a school is, the bad thing is that the wifi does not reach everywhere, especially the pieces, so to communicate we had to go through the hostel looking for the signal, very grateful for the attention and not very far from the city center, because the city is small and safe.

Buen breakfast is good.

I spent just one night in this beautiful city, the hostel which is an old school (which makes it even more attractive) is located very close to the highway and the main square, around which there are many things. The beds are neither good nor bad, the breakfast is good, with bread, milk, coffee, tea, cookies, fruits. There are gas showers (which take too long to get out the hot water) and electric showers. The staff are very kind and help us in everything. The kitchen is equipped. Very clean and tidy, the wifi does not work very well, but there are three signs that the hostel is very large.
