A great place, a clean room, a great view of the mountains, welcoming people, delicious local food for cheap!) Quietness! A great place! I recommend for a quiet rest!) We were on a trip around Bulgaria! We stayed very happy with this hotel!

It's a beautiful place.

I would strongly recommend this nice family hotel because of the great location at the end of the city, gorgeous view to the mountain, delicious local food in great quality and quantity at absolutely reasonable prices, nice garden, friendly staff, clean rooms, parking, POS, WiFi, etc. To reach the house, you will definitely need a car and GPS, otherwise, it's hard to find - but the location is just perfect. If you want to taste the flavor of the traditional food, the Bulgarian hospitality and to enjoy the beauty ot nature, it's your place. If you are looking for luxus, spa and a long wine card, then it's denitiley not your place. i would go there again.

A hot tip for people who love nature, hospitality and delicious local food

Stuck at the end if the village, and is hard to find.
The room is very basic.
The shower cabin is falling apart.
The mattress is very very uncomfortable. 
It is cheap for a simple reason- it is a dump!
Do not be fooled, like we were, by the relatively high feed back score.
Avoid the restaurant. The food is greasy and quite disgusting.
Definitely the worst meal we had in Bulgaria!
The staff was extremely rude and unwelcoming, from the moment we arrived when they demanded that we pay them immediately.
They overcharged us on our cc, and we made s formal complaint.
They of course speak only Bulgarian.
We were happy to escape in the morning.


Probably the worst hotel in Bulgaria: a real dump!

We returned from a ten-day trip to Bulgaria, during which we had stayed at 10 different hotels. This hotel was the worst hotel we stayed at, in all aspects.
Not only was the hotel room uncomfortable, the proprietors' behavior was so rude and shameful that I decided to warn people from staying there.
The hotel is stuck at the edge of the village. It is hard to reach, the road leading to it is hard to find and hard to drive.
They do not speak a word in any language other than Bulgarian.
When we got there, before six in the evening, no one was there. We had to call them.
When they arrived, they immediately wanted a prepayment for the room. Demanded it very rudely – “I want the money now”.
We paid.
The room is basic, without a chair or table or place to put things. The shower stall, for which we had chosen the place (a known problem in Bulgaria, they do not believe in shower cabins), was completely shaky and the corner came out.
Because the hotel is so far from the rest of the village, it is hard to navigate and the road leading to it is badly broken, that we decided to eat there.
We were the only guests.
Their children were running around the restaurant, playing with a balloon that hit my head several times.
We said nothing.
The first course arrived after the main ones.
The food was revolting, everything was floating in oil. Absolutely disgusting!
I decided that I would not eat anything more there, not even breakfast (which was not included in the accommodation fee).
After we paid and even left a tip, we had to stay in the restaurant because there was no table or chair in the room, and we had to sit down to plan the next day. They left us alone there with loud and noisy music.
The mattress was bad and uncomfortable. I had to take a sleeping pill to fall asleep.
The next day, my husband decided he did not want to give up on breakfast, and went downstairs. They offered him coffee, gave him a menu and disappeared. After about 20 minutes, when he asked when his breakfast would arrive, he was told that it was at an additional cost.
We said we knew, and that we would pay.
She demanded that we pay immediately.
At that moment, both of us felt that this strange demand of prepayment for breakfast was infuriating.
I told her that this is not how guests should be treated, and we will not pay her the one BGN (half a euro), the price of the coffee.
We left.
Two days later, they wrote us an email, demanding payment of 5 BGN -five times the price of the coffee.

They even wrote a letter to “booking” saying we did not pay them for a coffee.

I have never encountered such rude behavior toward guests.

I would expect someone who earns a living from hosting people, to respect their customers.

There are many good hotels in Bulgaria where you are greeted with a smile.

Avoid this hotel! 

WARNING: Stay away from the Kris Guest House in Devin!

We stayed here only one night and loved it.  Although it is challenging to find, the staff are so kind and thoughtful, the dinners freshly prepared and tasty and the beds comfortable.  Great shower and lovely view from our balcony.  In the morning, we had a great hot breakfast (the first we had in Bulgaria) freshly prepared for us - ham and eggs delicious, French toast yummy.  Free parking on site and free, strong WiFi.     Excellent value for money. We would stay here again and recommended it highly.

Lovely small guesthouse

We happened to have a good time, walking around the Rhodope Mountains, at 7pm, they gave us a room, a good dinner, a great breakfast. Very clean environment and kind and caring staff. The receptionist served us a fantastic dinner, and all accompanied by the notes of Toto Cutugno, given that we were Italian, I would have done without it, but it was really nice.

It's excellent.

The hotel cancelled our booking the day before we arrived without apology. The hotel staff did not speak English. They offered us an apartment in the center of town that was much cheaper and without the possibility of breakfast; we had to take the car every morning to go to the hotel for breakfast. Very disappointed.

It sounds like a romantic title, but the view from the windows and the terrace of the rooms is exceptional, the gaze wanders its peaks of the surrounding mountains and the town of Devin is low.

A hug with Rodopi

It was hard for us to find this guesthouse, it is up the mountain from the town center and we had to switch navigation software , only google maps brought us close and from there we asked locals. the hotel overlooks the valley and the village and this is the main advantage. The room was small and simple but comfortable enough and room facilities in good condition. The owner is nice. breakfast was very simple, no buffet, served dish and hot drink.overall it was fine for one night and raesonable considering cost although we stayed in better  guesthouses at the same price range during that trip..

The hotel was very pleased with the friendly staff clean and comfortable rooms beautiful views of the mountains I recommend in the rooms very quiet.
