Magnificent traditional Bulgarian house, typical decoration and very welcoming owners. A dozen rooms at a very attractive price make a reservation possible. A small craft shop stands at the entrance and offers a few small things made by local artists. When you close the door that leads to the street, you enter a fairy tale. The monastic quiet is at your appointment. Parenthesis out of time gives you a guaranteed rest. A unique assurance. The guest table is of a very good level. A menu made with local products, for cooking local dishes. Simple but regional this small restaurant continues to make you travel at the table. The establishment has a reason to spend its breakfast and a good service. This small hammock is a wonderful place to visit. This beautifully decorated hammock is a great place to spend all its time. Exceptional, rare, a place out of time.

It's a beautiful family-run hotel. The structure is really wonderful, both the exterior with the beautiful garden and the rooms. Good taste and very cozy style furnishings. Even the restaurant is absolutely worth trying: simple and homemade cuisine to taste the flavours of the place! Super approved! Little decal: on Google this place is called Osmar Houses

What a nice surprise in Bulgaria!

What a pleasure to be in the countryside at the end of May in a tastefully renovated late 19th century house! It was also a pleasant surprise to discover that the mistress spoke very well French. She explained very well how to climb up to the old monastery in a cave, and how to see the eye a large, pierced limestone rock. Very good dinner and breakfast.

A charming guest house

A traditional house with all the comforts is distributed around a garden of Eden. The reception is warm and attentive. We slept in a comfortable and carefully decorated room. The nights are cool so no air conditioning is necessary. Meals are made with local and fresh products. Breakfast is plentiful and varied and depending on the season you can enjoy the fruit of the garden.

A Choice Step

The place looks absolutely the same as in the pictures. The rooms are clean and cosy, there was nothing that we were missing and the staff is extremely nice to the guests. The food is really delicious. We would definitely stay there again if we travel in this area.

The best place in this area

One of the best places that I and my family have ever been. Highly recomend if you have to stay somewhere around Shumen or you need a relaxing weekend in quiet and lovely place. The hosts are very kind, the level of attention to every detail in the house and the rooms is just astonishing. The food was very delicious and we had a great time there.

The best place to stay near Shumen

Close to Shumen there is this lovely little village surrounded by bizarre rocks with rocky monasteries and in the center of this oasis of several guest houses, a lovely courtyard and a tavern where you can escape for a bit of the busy everyday life and rest in silence.The hosts are extremely kind. You can stay for two - or simply sit for a homemade dish on the road.

A small oasis for relaxation

This is a place you will surely want to return to. Located in a small Bulgarian village, this gem is worthy of a five star resort rating. The owner Teo is so accommodating and speaks perfect English. We asked Teo about wine tasting in the area and he said it was too late in the day so he set up a private tasting for us on the patio on a perfect fall afternoon. The room had so many little touches that made you feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms and inn are built in the traditional Bulgarian architecture and the grounds are full of flowers, sitting areas, and an amazing outdoor patio to sip wine, eat dinner, or just relax. The dinner was one of the best we had in two weeks of traveling the country. If you want to get away from the big city and enjoy the best of what Bulgaria has to offer, you have to stay here. Great walk down a country road to the Rock Monastery is a must. You'll pass wild apple trees, grapes, and springs with the purest water you can find. Can't wait to return.... a real memorable experience. We wish we could have stayed longer!

A Hidden Gem in a Small Bulgarian Village

A wonderful place to relax and use as a starting point for visiting the area (Shumen is nearby). impeccable, clean and comfortable room. The restaurant is also excellent with local specialties. Good breakfast.

That's great.

Osmar is not very well known (people go to Shumen rather). We spent a week ago (the choice of place by a tourist agency). As a young couple we like to visit, but also to settle down from time to time. This place was a little corner of paradise right in the middle of the Bulgarian tower. The rooms are impeccable (attention, in case of high heat, there is no air conditioning), the warm place, which offers a perfect break of a day or two between two cities. The host is welcoming, and does almost everything himself. We ate one of the best cuisines of the stay (however, a special terrace for the ice cream of the tower).
