I liked that the hotel is around Nature and the atmosphere is pretty relaxing. I recommend it to anyone who wants to chill out a little bit. The food is very delicious and also you have a lot of places to go around.

Nice place

Little pay, little receive! If I had read the advice of other travelers I would not have come here. Our room was full of spiders, who pinched us the first night, the bathroom with moldy door, the unfinished room to be renovated and an owner who brings with a mafia rather than a hotelier! He also tricked us into paying for breakfast even though it was included in the price of the reservation and when we asked for explanations he told us that he did not speak English but only Russian and Bulgarian. Breakfast was miserable anyway, served on a dirty tray and consisted of four slices of bread with cheese and two glasses of yogurt. No insect screen on the windows and considering that we traveled in the summer and the location is on the river bank it was impossible to open any window without filling our room with insects and mosquitoes. When I left I asked for an invoice to make a claim but I only received a receipt and this after a two-hour wait. Totally unpleasant for an otherwise beautiful holiday, because Veliko Tarnovo is worth a visit. So again I tell you stay away from this place and look for other places!

Avoid this place !

Wow, okay, so where do I begin? We arrived there, the location is nice enough, and the person who welcomed us led us into an ICE COLD room. It was probably -3 degrees outside at the time. The balcony door was wide open. There was no heating, just an AC. Okay, so we had to pay cash! They do not accept credit cards. Because any normal person runs around with a bunch of cash in their pocket. Cool. Not to mention, we did not get a receipt of any form. No proof of payment. 
There was absolutely no Wi-Fi (something about the cable being broken), not to mention the place was still under construction. Moving on to the room itself. Although furnished pleasantly enough, there was absolutely no housekeeping of any sort. We had only TWO towels and ONE roll of toilet paper, meaning we had to go to DM to buy toiletries and such. Definitely not what is expected from an establishment, which calls itself a hotel. Anyway. So, upon checkout, we were looking for the same person, and since there is no reception desk, we were walking up and down looking for him, we eventually had to call him and he just told us to leave the key in the lock. That was it. 
That being said, Veliko Tarnovo is wonderful and we would love to go there again, only this time we would look for a different accommodation.

What was that?

30€, top room, large bed, wifi, air, river and monumental views, next to the street of bars and restaurants... very good choice.

What a good election!

It's not exactly a hotel. In the Bulgarian classification it's a guest house. Well, come on, it's not the point. The hotel is new and it seems like no one has lived before us. So everything is new, although places are not yet assigned. Clean, neat, comfortable. The room is neat and nice. The view of the river and the city. Actually, this is why the hotel was chosen. The bed is large with a new good mattress. The clothes are clean and fresh. But there is no refrigerator. It's separate about the bathroom. All right, it's big and outdoors, but it's still worth hanging in the shower. Or put the most primitive cabin.

A room in an ultra-well-placed house. With an incredible view over the river, overlooking the Museum of Fine Arts. Really top. Recently renovated, big room, big bathroom. top.

Great location, with an amazing view from the terrace. Very clean, sheets smell like home. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, they offer you hot beverages during the whole stay. Breakfast was perfectly enough. You can use the parking if there are free spots even after you check out. 3 min from Tsarevets! Recommend it! 

Perfect Hotel

The hotel is normal - clean , smell good and very good view from the terrase to the city . Normal price like 50 lev for 2 persons on 5 min from the main sreet . This is purfect place for family with childrens . You can to make the reservation by phone without deposit .

Nice value

I staind at Hotel Asenevtsi for 2 nights and everything was great. the view is great, the room has tv 32inch, A/C, hot whater even at 01:00 AM, The breakfast is 1 euro, it's simple, but diferent every day. Everything is new and well-kept and clean ! The Gurko street is an old street and in the middle of everything but a very quiet place. Try Mexaha Tavern ar Gurko Str. no. 5. very good food !

Excellent !

Fantastic location, immersed in green and structured with the primary materials of mother earth, namely wood and stone. Cozy and clean rooms, very nice and professional staff. And the swimming pool.
