As the sign says, under new management and apparently they messed up a good place accordin to the reviews here from a few years ago. At around midnight, I pulled down the covers and realized there were no pillow cases on the pillows. As I was ready to yo to sleep, I didn't want to get dressed and go to the humming office so I covered the pillows  with my T-shirts. The AC unit was in the wall up against the ceiling. I had to climb on a chair and adjust the controls. There was less than 1/4 of an inch of toilet paper and no extra roll. The bathtub had no mat to stand on whioe showering so I had to hold onto the wall wo I woudn't slip. Worst of all, I was unable to get Internet in my room. The signal came and went. When I complained to the clerk, she told me to use the Internet at the other end of the building on their patio. It took her a while to get the correct password to access the net. I only went there because it was a Saturday night and there wasn't another avaiable room in tow. Stay away, stay far away.

Now Called Hibiscus Motel - Stay Away - Terrible!!!

We booked two double beds because 2 families of 2 adults and two children between 2 and 6 years old this was supposed to be a stopover to get back on the road to Malbaie. On arrival only one room (one bed) available despite the reservation made a few hours earlier, given the late hour impossible to find anything else the children and my wife slept in the room the other three adults in the cars.... and the next night the 4 children and my wife covered in bite of these little beasts.... briefly full of motel next door can't be worse...

Avoid bed bugs at all costs

If you are needing an overnight without all the frills this place is amazing. Extremely friendly, extremely clean, quaint rooms.
Highly recommend!! Breakfast was fantastic! Within 25 minutes to old Quebec, access was easy. Will recommend to friends and family as well as return anytime we are in the area. Fluent in English as well as French. 

Love this Motel!!

Beautiful rooms, nicely decorated.  Very comfortable and clean.  Great place for a one night stop over on our way to the East Coast.  The Host is very nice but he does not speak any English.  Nice restaurant a short walk down the road from the hotel.

Extremely Nice

The rating that I gave of 'average' is a little misleading -- it should be 'average+' but that's not available.  It's not quite 'very good', because at the rate, it's difficult to be much more than average.  The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the place is clean - the room we were in had a hard surface floor, which was nice, and avoids the paranoia with gross carpets in motels.  The shower has good pressure (it's a bit small), lots of hot water, and it has a TV (we didn't use), a fridge (which we did use) and good fast wi-fi (which we used).  

The location is good -- right at the western end of Ste. Anne de Beaupré, so if you're coming from the west, it's a well situated place to stay.  

Breakfasts are fine -- it's not included in the room rate, and it's mostly commercial yogurts, fruit cups and toast with packaged jam, but it's filling, and the supply is limitless.  

Frank is the new owner and he's a recent immigrant from Lyon, France.  Why anyone would want to leave Lyon, the gastronomical capital of France is beyond me, but he loves it here.  He's a great guy, very accommodating (I'm not sure how good his English is, but he sounds like he's working on it), and he's part of the whole charm of the place.  

If you need to stay in Ste Anne de Beaupré, this place is definitely worth considering, because for the price, it offers all you need -- maybe not everything you desire for those memorable hotel stays, but on the other hand, Ste Anne de Beaupré isn't quite one of those must visit spots in the world -- unless you're a skier.

Great Value

This was my third stay at this motel and obviously they are doing a great job, at least to my taste! The place is spotless and the owners are so, so, so nice! I feel like family every time, being welcomed, getting advice about places to eat at or visit, enjoying the excellent breakfast offered every morning during the high season.

About 20 minutes East of the City, the motel offers a pleasant and convenient location, tinged with the small town charm. There are a few places to visit around or, if time permits, one may simply sit back and relax enjoying the fresh air and peaceful view of the St. Lawrence River right across the street.

Cosy Home Away From Home

We stayed at this motel 2 nights and found it super good, the owner is very kind to us for a lot The room is very clean and the breakfast is very rich The next year we will be safe in this motel to ski It is very close to the Santa Anna mountain and the Basilica of Santa Anna Also the massive Charlevoix is almost 20 minutes from the motel the motel has 19 rooms and has WiFi and air conditioning The WiFi works very well all that with a reasonable price, we paid 79$ per night.

A very good auberge.

Even if the motel is located near a railway line, it doesn't matter at all because the last train leaves around 22:00. Clean room, warm reception and a simple but sufficient breakfast.

Well received

People have to leave their room before 11am. Arrival around 2pm. Animals cannot access it. All non-smoking rooms but on the side there is an outdoor terrace with patio table and chairs where it is allowed to smoke and even have our coffee. Auberge La Bécassine located on Route 138, 5 minutes from the Cathedral of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and 25 minutes from the bridge of the Isle d'Orléans and 30 minutes from Quebec City. Auberge B&B with an open breakfast offered at a good price and prepared to our liking. It is a couple who holds a hostel with a smile and a kindness appreciated. It is the lady of the breakfast who does not eat breakfast in the restaurant next to the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant next to the hotel.
