Decided to rent a room for the weekend at the gold eagle lodge, and decided to check out the casino next door. Got back around 3:30, after returning from casino and didn’t realize I needed my key, which I left in our room with my little sister. The security guard asked me which room I was in, which I replied with my room number. He then told me how I needed a key, and I tried to explain why I didn’t have it on me and how I planned to knock on the door to get into my room. He opened it for me, then mentioned that they get “undesirables” I’m their hotel, that he finds “passed out” in his hallways. I told the security that I wasn’t homeless, and that I just forgot my key card. That was that, then I returned to my room. My family was asleep so I took a phone call with my boyfriend in the hallway, not realizing that I was about to be yelled at by a customer. I was sitting in the chairs provided in the hallway, when I man came out and told me to go somewhere else with my conversation. I was not drunk, not loud, nor rude to this man. I said nothing, but I felt very uncomfortable. I went down to the front desk to tell the lady how I had just been yelled at, when she stopped me and said “don’t tell me! Tell him!” Pointing to the night security, and then disregarded my complaint. I am a young First Nation woman, and i can’t help but feel that if it was a white man being yelled at, that the complaint might have went differently for them. I told the security, who then said I shouldn’t be in the hallway. Why are the chairs out there? Again, wasn’t loud at all, nor rude nor obnoxious in any way, but I was treated like I did something wrong when I complained about being yelled at. The security was very rude towards me, as was the front desk worker. All “white” and I can’t help but feel that it had something to do with my race.

Unfriendly night staff

Great stay. Staff was wonderful and even allowed me to check in a bit early to accommodate an event I was speaking at that evening. Room was spacious and clean. Good location to food and activities.  If I’m ever back in town I won’t think twice about where to stay.

Stay was nice, good value for room. My wife and I are mid 40’s, so a little disappointed had to provide $300 deposit just because I was going to pay with debit, rather than credit, it was refunded without a glitch though.

Overnight stay

Stayed here for the annual Ukrainian dance competition.  This hotel did a wonderful job welcoming dancers by decorating their lobby with Ukrainian flags and decor.

The rooms are spacious and very clean.  Beds are comfortable.
Love the large parking lot, always a place to park.
Complimentary breakfast is always filling and well done....lots of options for a continental breakfast....toast, waffles, muffins, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, milk, and many other options

The pool and hot tubs were busy, but in good working order.
love this hotel, will continue to stay here!

Great stay!!

This was our first time staying at the Golden Eagle and were happy with the experience.  We stayed in one of their pet friendly rooms on the first floor. The check-in was really friendly, and we enjoyed the breakfast each of the three mornings we were there.  The rooms were clean and refreshed daily.  We enjoyed the pool and hot tub area and noted the steam room and sauna on the way by.... looked enticing but we didn't have time to partake.  There was some issues with the cable but I know they were checking into it.  All in all, I would stay there again.

Family stay in North Battleford

Comfortable bed with enough pillows.   Love the bed cover. When will hotels learn to put those magnified stretchy mirrors in the bathrooms.  They are very appreciated by contac wearers . And women with poor vision, trying to put on make up.   They would be an afordable addition to the rooms .  All the staff was wonderful in all areas of service.   Thank you .

Clean and comfy

I usually stay at another hotel here but due to weather changes (warm cold, melting snow into ice) and I have to park my truck at the bottom of a hill and walk up the slippery road I thought I would try this place, big parking beside the hotel made it convenient for me. All 4 separate times I’ve stayed here in the last couple weeks I’ve dealt with a few different folks, all are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are pleasant enough and the typical hotel not so much to brag about breakfast but it’s fills the spot. The kitchen staff has always been very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.
I will say it’s convenient to get into heading west not so much heading East but easier enough and I do it with a 53’ lowbed.

Pretty good place to stay

Every time we visit family in North Battleford, the Gold Eagle Lodge is our “ go to” hotel.  This visit got extended due to the weather in the area.  We booked a room with a king sized bed which was extremely comfortable. As usual the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Thank you to all the staff for making our extended stay a pleasure.

A Comfortable 3 Night Stay

Our stay here was perfect. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. We didn’t use the pool but it looked like a nice one. The rooms are big and spacious and very clean. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast area is huge and not crowded with a very good breakfast with hot and cold choices. Couldn’t have asked for anything more with our stay. Would definitely stay here again

I stayed here two nights in the past week. Front staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms were nice and clean. Beds were comfy.

Breakfast was complimentary and a hot one.

This will be my go to hotel whenever I am in North Battleford.
