Smells like Lysol, room had garbage that was not emptied, toilet roll was nearly empty and there were two shower loofahs from previous guests (?) from who knows how long. I felt very uncomfortable here, and there was a dim red light in the room, with massage tables folded at the end of the bedroom. I asked for a refund as I did not end up staying for the nights I booked, and was told I could not get a refund from the owner. I ended up leaving and staying somewhere else. 

Uncomfortable experience

Photos are not accurate, dirty & disorganized. Overpriced, dark and no breakfast provided. Frig in the room unplugged with a puddle underneat. Mirror in the bathroom not attached to the wall, almost fell & broke. Dark rooms with inadequate lights. Unkempt and they don't seem to care. Curtians were too long and a tripping hazard. Worst place we've stayed in a developed country!

Avoid this place!

This air bnb is set inside someone’s home. While the owner was lenient about my late check in, there were weird things at play. He was pushing his YouTube channel, “upgraded” me to a room I hadn’t asked for because it was more “romantic”. The man also said my partners ID was necessary, he showed him his health card because he doesn’t have another photo ID card (paper license), even though I was the one who booked and paid and I wasn’t required to show mine. The bathroom was dysfunctional and unclean. The shower head was handheld but no attachment to keep it up, there were two loofas (no idea if these had been previously used), a half full bottle of an almond oil based head and shoulders shampoo (I’m allergic to nuts). My partner and I were both uncomfortable and I wouldn’t have been surprised if there had been cameras in the rooms.

Strange and Uncomfortable

Was a short trip from the Ottawa Airport, I was welcomed by the gracious owner. Even  as flight delays pushed my arrival late into the evening.  The clean and comfortable room was a happy ending to what seemed like a chain reaction of delays. 

I will be sure to visit again when I am back in Ottawa.

Restful stay in large spacious room, Friendly Owner and unbeatable price!

My boyfriend and I booked a room at 2 am for the same night. When we arrived at the home at 2:15 an we realised that check in was only between 8 to 5. Our mistake. The owner accomodated us with a no charge as we showed up at 8 to cancel. Once everything was settled he even offered us coffee and breakfast. Everything ended really well. We appretiated his understanding and kindness to fix the issue.

Good ending

Nice location near the Ottawa airport.  Our host was very accommodating as we arrived late.  Our room was clean and comfortable.  It is basic, but a good price.  We had an enjoyable breakfast while we visited with our host.

It’s really amazing place, clean, people are so polite I love it , I recommended it for everyone ❤️ Food is fresh, always cleaning the place regularly , the owner is really helpful and nice respectful man, the people who are working here are clean and polite, I really like it and my family did.

We didn't have a good experience. Our room was reasonable but the en suite had a broken shower and we had to share the public ones which were very dirty. The bathmat was disgusting.  I wish we hadn't stayed. We were charged twice and we eventually got our money back even though "paid" was written next to our name.  We were told that didn't mean we'd paid!! We had to show proof of an earlier payment.  There was CCTV in the kitchen.  There were no facilities to make a drink or even a glass to bring soft drinks in.  We weren't allowed to wear our outdoor shoes in the property and we were offered some manky slippers. Fortunately we had bought our own slippers.  Breakfast was okay. We had to have use of a mobile phone in case the code for the front door was changed.  It cost me £40 to have my mobile switched on and the door code was not changed.  There are only two parking places on the property otherwise it is street parking.  There was no owner of the property on site and we didn't know where to get help if needs. I would not recommend it.

Unfortunately, we have to give a negative judgment of this B&B, saving the kindness and cordiality of the owners. The assigned room looked dirty and the sheets used, only one towel per head for 2 days, room unfilled, poor breakfast and coffee to pay for apart.

Tour of Canada

Found this place through an accommodation website. Owner has a lot of information and interesting life in the arts to talk about. The rooms were renovated in 2016 and ours had a private ensuite which was nice. The bed was comfy and we had a mini fridge which would have been very convenient had we stayed longer. The Ottawa airport is less than 5 minutes away and also great access to public transportation. Highly recommend for your visit.
