Great location, right at water front, owner is very helpful, respond to questions, issues very quickly.  Onsite water activities are excellent for kids, and adults can also enjoy the variety of boats.  Water are clean.  Good value.  Need more cloth hangers.

The cabin is very cute, clean and well looked after, we enjoyed sitting on the lake , it’s beautiful, romantic , nice and quiet ! We drove around to discover the Muskoka area, all very nice! We are sure to come back someday!

Wonderful little holiday at the black lake cabin!

We're still here and it's AMAZINNG!!! The lake is beautiful cabin #1 &2 have a private small beach area. The owners are great also. Very willing to answer any questions and to help whenever needed. We took our two year old daughter and she had such a fun time. We stayed in cabin #2. It was VERRY clean and well kept. Cabin #3 is a family who comes regularly they're VERRYYYYYYYY friendly. Alll in all a great place to visit. Dogs. Ducks. Frogs. Free boats and kayaks. !!! Amazing

Absolutely amazing

I stayed in Cabin #2 earlier this week. It was great for a solo adventure in the Muskokas. The cabin was small but functional with a full kitchen and bathroom and a small bedroom with queen size bed. 

The unit was clean and tidy and equipped with the basics. Our front there is a small sandy beach and a number of canoes for your use. The lake is small but it was warm and lovely to swim in. The owners are on site and very accessible and helpful if you need it but aren’t in your way at all.

Do be aware you do here traffic from the highway but there is little noise at night. 

Sadly, the weather was rainy for the days I had booked so I decided to check out early. 

Overall, great value for money and close to a lot of the natural amenities you’d hope to enjoy in Muskoka. 

Great location

We stayed in Cabin 1 here for two nights. The cabins are set along the edge of Black Lake and the view is just stunning.
This cabin had two bedrooms and was newly relined. The space itself is small but inside you have everything is there that you need to cook a meal and eat.
The shower and bathroom are just lovely and the filtered water from the lake does make your hair feel softer.
We enjoyed sitting out both evenings and made fires and barbecued local corn and peaches. The stars are quite brilliant and we saw the rays of the Northern lights.
The chipmunks and squirrels were entertaining and you can go out on a boat if you get time.
This is a very simple way of living but for us three friends it created some amazing memories.
The hosts are very eager to please. You are very close to Bala and Gravenhurst here with Hardy Lake trails next door.

Priceless location

My dog and I rented a cabin in July, we loved it, the cabin was clean, and sufficient. Will be going back again. My dog swam the whole time the water was perfect. Really nice place. The location is great too, 10 min to Bala, which is always an awesome place to visit, really cute town, or if you are going to the Kee to Bala, to see a band, this is the ideal place to stay.

Fantastic Place

It's clear that the owners care very much for their business - we saw them frequently and they were always willing to answer questions or help out. The site was kept spectacularly clean and well maintained. The site is beautiful - we saw a snapping turtle and were able to swim in the lake without worry. In addition to the site's features, we could stargaze at night, hike at the nearby provincial park trails, and go for dinner in Bala nearby. It is clear the owners are invested in further improvements to the site as well.

Only downside is the site is close to the highway so you can sometimes hear traffic, but from the lake the buildings mostly block that.

Clean, great owners, nice property

Spent 2 nights in one of the 2 bedroom cabins in May. Most enjoyable. The cabins are quite rustic but everything works very well- toilet, shower, oven etc.
Spent most of the day outside on the lake in the paddle boats etc.
Our 2 young grandchildren aged 4 and 3 spent hours playing on the edge of the lake.
Barbecue for each cabin provided and firewood can be purchased to build a fire near the outdoor table.

The cabin we stayed in was very old and worn down, in definite need of repair. The owners work hard and I think one day it’ll be nice as I saw one of the renovated cabins. Other than everything being old, the view was pretty. This place is right on the highway, it’s a busy one too. A whole staircase fell off one of the cabins while we were there and a person went down with it. Was sad to see, he was hurt quite badly. 
Some positive: Was nice to be close to Bala and Gravenhurst. We did lots of day trips. Owners are nice. Cabin was fully stocked. Row boats, canoes and paddle boats available to use.  Water was very warm.
It appears it may be a good deal but in reality, as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. 

Family vacation 

I’m planning a 60th birthday party and needed a few extra cabins for guests, the lady Stella was very helpful and accommodating.  I haven’t stayed here yet, but was blown away by how wonderful she has been thus far.  :)
