The apartment on the ground floor is modern and very functional with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. I enjoyed finding ingredients such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee. The house is inadequate, with dusty tiles showing that the house is facadey, made around the furniture without passing through the basements (I moved the furniture which is branched, for the service, and the prices are corrected by my computer).

An alternative to the hotel

This 2-bd 1-bath property makes a convenient, clean and comfortable base from which to explore St. John's; we enjoyed our stay and were well rested, relaxed and felt at home. The place is extremely clean, and has all of the conveniences of home. It is like staying at a relative's downtown rowhome while they are away - everything you need is there, and only a short walk to downtown, and with parking out front of the unit - all for a very reasonable price. We stayed as a couple and had loads of room, although the 1 bathroom would limit the number of adults/teenagers to 2 in my opinion (kids are fine). We would definitely return and stay here again.

Excellent location - great place to stay

What a find. My first time using an online apartment booking site. It worked out. I will try and rate it elsewhere. This apartment. Large and quiet and clean. There is nothing negative to say. There wasn't even any snow in St. John's in February? Wjat gives? This is supposed to be the snow capital of Canada.

Lots of space, lots of comfort.

All the conveniences of home. I was quite impressed. Everything worked. Everything was comfortable. Everything was clean. Location was directly behind the Delta so all the convenience of being downtown without the bother of traffic and crowds of people. I asked how anybody could navigate the City after a snow fall and Dimitri told me that the City was very efficient with downtown streets because they were so steep that if snow was not removed quickly and roads sanded and salted accidents would sky rocket. What an agreeable young man he was. I was quite surprised the property was open as many of the B&Bs and apartments seem to have shut for the winter

It is a very clean and spacious property. It is maybe a block behind the Delta Centre and Mile One Stadium.

George Street and City Hall are a short walk away as is the Harbour Front

Very clean, lots of rooms, lots of clean

Every downtown hotel room was booked. I didn't have a car and didn't want to rack up a mountain of taxi bills to from one of the hotels in the burbs so I called around and managed to get a suite here. I have never stayed in this type of operation before and had no idea what to expect. It was simply great. Everything I possibly wanted / needed was there. This is my first ever contribution to Trip Advisor. My bedroom was super comfortable. There were two bedrooms in the apartment and the second was just as inviting. It had a queen size bed but I opted for the one with two twins so I could spread open my suitcases and not have to pack and repack everything!

Clean and comfortable with everything

No issues, everything was exactly as it was stated to be. WiFi great. TV great. Very clean. spacious. I could have stayed forever, perhaps I would pass on downtown winter roads. I am from the City but had had plumbing problems and had to find backup housing while repairs were being made. Perfect for our needs

Very surprised at the quality and pricing

I have visited St. John's many times and have stayed at a variety of places. When you stay at Long's Hill Suites you are not getting a hotel room or a bed and breakfast - you are really getting a home to stay in.  It is within walking distance of downtown and while the price might seem a bit high - it has all the facilities that you would need - a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, two bedrooms.  When you consider the money you save making your own meals rather than eating out - it is really quite reasonable.  It was very clean, I never heard any bothersome noise during the night and I always enjoy my stay.  The owner was not popping in every day which I would find a nuisance but when I did need something he was quick to respond.  A real bonus was the free parking.  Anyone who has visited St. John's knows how difficult it is to find parking.  There are two flights of stairs, one to reach the main floor and the second to the upper level but I didn't find them difficult, took my time, carried my suitcases up one at a time and it was no problem and I am a smaller older woman.  I would recommend Long's Hill Suites to anyone planning a trip to St. John's.  The only small suggestion that I would make to the owner is that it is time that the frying pan in the kitchen was replaced.
