This is an older building but our room clearly had updated flooring and furnishings, and it was clean. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. The location worked well for us. It was a little out of the center of town but everything was easily accessible. We stayed two nights so that we could drive into Prince Rupert one day and visit the Nisga'a Memorial Lava Beds before we left the area.

Good base for exploring

I stayed here one night as i waited for my flight out of Terrace. Nice folks right out of the gate, offering me a ride to the airport when i expressed reliability concerns regarding the local taxi service.  The rooms were simple, clean, quiet and cozy. Affordable as well, being significantly cheaper than the other hotels in the area. A top notch bargain if you're ever in this neck of the woods . Thanks folks, for the restful stay.

Great deal, nice folks, clean hotel.

I stayed at the Rest Inn multiple nights last fall for business reasons. The rooms were clean each time but had a small issue with house flies. They were quite annoying and persistent and each day I had to kill several in order to get any sleep as they were buzzing around loudly. That I’m sure is a seasonal issue. 
I did not find the area to be too noisy. 
I did not try the breakfast. 
The staff were friendly. 
There was always plenty of parking. 
However my other concern is the lack of a deadbolt on my room door. None of the rooms I stayed in had them and the small chain lock seemed so loose that it would not have been effective. For this reason, I don’t think I’ll stay here again. 

Mostly good

We have been going to the Terrace area for a number of years, mostly in the pursuit of fish. We have stayed in a number of lodging establishments and this year decided to try the Rest Inn. 
The Rest Inn served our purpose well. It is located on the Lakelse Road, within easy access from the airport, just cross over the Skeena on the Old Skeena Bridge and you are there. Its location is close to the downtown and also to the Yellowhead Highway. The traffic on Lakelse Road is quite light. There is no truck traffic, as it is situated off the Yellowhead, so it is relatively quiet.
The hotel has been newly renovated, its facilities are modern and well maintained. The room we stayed in was well equipped with a Flat screen TV, DVD player, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, microwave, etc. As part of the reasonable hotel rate you are given access to a number of services, including free wifi, gym facilities and free parking. There is even a free breakfast, ample enough to get you going for the day. The hotel is well run by friendly, efficient personnel. 
The area offers sporting opportunities, natural beauty and, of course, Native culture and history. A fascinating place to visit are Nisga'a Lava beds north of town and while you are here, drive out to the Nisga'a village of Gingolx. Also, if you are staying awhile, drive out east to Gatanyow to see their display of totem poles. So, whether you are headed to Prince Rupert or back, or plan a longer stay, check-in at the Rest INN for your "rest".

The whole family stayed overnight at this accommodation in Terrace – booked two rooms for five people. Parking was easy to do in the spacious lot. For guests with mobility issues, the ground level rooms proved to be a good choice. The location is also good, being in close proximity to busy downtown Terrace with its many restaurants and the airport as well.

The rooms we had were updated – new sleek minimal interior design. Beds were comfortable and they offer the usual amenities of a good inn. The washroom was a bit tinier than usual, but not too cramped. Everything was nicely stocked and lots of towels. The appliances and furniture in the room seem all new. We even got complimentary water bottles. 

We would definitely stay here again with family, as the pricing was decent and the location was very convenient to go in and out.

We rest ‘inn’ peace…

Took my aunt in too Terrace for medical and she chose to stay at the rest inn for the night. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as my aunt is a senior. The room was very clean and comfortable for her. I would recommend this Inn to anyone needing to stay in Terrace.

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights. We were given excellent service. The beds were comfortable. Newly renovated, everything about our rooms were as fresh as the country-like setting. There is a wonderful Pub next door with a relaxing atmosphere. We will stay there again.

Stayed two weeks at the rest inn terrace bc front desk people where very nice to me and my family I would stay here again continental breakfast was great the price for there rooms was great even get a kitchenette DVD player satilite tv if needed close to restaurants.

My family’s two weeks at rest in 

Spent a few weeks at this hotel/motel and must admit that it is value for money.  The positives: 
For the amenities offered (free parking, non smoking, laundry, gym, wifi, free airport shuttle service, continental breakfast, kitchenette, free toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving kit etc) for $95 per night is great.
It is close to a couple restaurants, and the casino; and about 20 minutes walk to the city center.
Flexible management - they are very accommodating to your request.
Regular/daily room cleaning service.
Iron and ironing board, small fridge, microwave, cooking utensils.

The not so good 
My room was never swept nor mopped during my stay.  I know this from being observant.  Dirt from my shoes/boots stayed on the floor from the time it first got on the floor until the day I checked out.
The toilet, bathroom and the bathroom vanity/sink were just wiped, but not scoured/cleaned properly during my stay.
The color of the rooms are dreary.  I mean, its basically the same color inside and out.  The gray/charcoal color makes the room appears very dark even with all the lights on.

I read previous reviews where persons shared their "personal" experiences of their stay here and the management appeared to be "defensive" about everything.  I think if you're in business offering services to people, the least one can do is to be "mature" and take the reviews as they are.  Each person's expectations and experience are "their own" and an overnight or two day stay is different from an extended stay.  Evaluate and probably make some changes.  I doubt anyone was "intentionally malicious" in their review.

I will definitely stay here again if am to visit Terrace again, because I think the place is value for money and it has the potential to get better.

Good stay, mixed feelings

Great stay, excellent service, and good cable.
After a long trip it was a haven to find.  Outside of the noisy city made for a peaceful stay.  Got help with my bags to my vehicle.  Highly recommend for a place to feel truly rested.
