A bit overpriced for a one bedroom place.No A/C,the security box had no keypad.It was a relic and could be opened by anyone.Breakfast was ok deli meats,breads,pastries,and cereals.Staff were  friendly and hotel was located next to the bus station,and supemarkets.

No safety box

I stayed at this hotel for work, the truth is that it's good for sleeping. The decoration is old, the room was of good size, the bathroom is normal. The wifi internet didn't work or at least didn't reach my room. Some nights the outside noise was loud, because it's next to the bus terminals. It doesn't have air conditioning so I don't recommend it for summer, it's very hot. What's saving is that it's well located, close to the center and the mall, the attention of the staff was very good and close and the restaurant is very, very good, recommending the variety of pizzas they offer.

Suitable for short stays.

El Hotel Miramonti, located near the bus terminals that reach the city, is also close to the Mall Plaza Copiapó, the rooms are comfortable, has breakfast, lunch and dinner service, the only problem is that the internet signal via WIFI was very unstable, my stay was realized around work and it cost me to connect to the hotel's network.

Accommodation in a hotel

Hotel with spacious room, the reception was friendly and cordial.The value of the food services found them very high compared to the quality of their dishes.

Normal Normal

This hotel is located in front of the bus terminal, very close to the center of Copiapó y del Mall so the location is recommended for people visiting or working, the rooms are very comfortable (Wifi-cable) and you can see that they care about the cleaning, the breakfast is buffet and the food served in the restaurant is delicious and the people who work in the restaurant are very concerned, attentive and friendly.

Comfortable hotel, pleasant and clean.

An apartment for three people, with equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and living with large terrace. Two bathrooms with very good cleanliness and temperature in showers. Very rich and punctual breakfast.

 Comfort and service

Outrageously expensive, grumpy receptionist, stained sheets and towels (only hope hope  they were even washed), very poor breakfast and extremely noisy throughout the night with busses with engines idling.

Only stay there if you are desperate

After 3 weeks working up in the Atacama, this was a stopover before flying back to Santiago.

The building looks a bit grim from the outside. Decor in the 5th floor room (facing over the town) was quite tatty - the carpets were very grubby. But the public areas of the hotel were pretty tidy.

Decent sized, comfortable bed and a new flatscreen telly on the wall. WiFi code given at check-in, WiFi speed was very slow. Toiletries - soap (poor) and shampoo (used my own). Water pressure in the shower was pretty dismal. There was a beaten up old mini-bar fridge in the room, but it was locked - I have no idea what was inside.

Breakfast was about what you'd expect, edible.

I want to give it a poor rating as it's so scruffy, but in spite of the grubbiness / shabbiness I slept fairly well, which is the main point, so it gets an "average" from me.

Stopover in Copiapo

There are not many choices for hotels in Copiapo.  The rooms are average to small and clean.  There is a TV and small fridge.  No A/C.  The rooms on the front of the building get a lot of street noise.  The rooms at the back get a lot of barking dogs.  My room had a very strange odor. You get a free pisco sour on check-in.  The restaurant is not bad.  The promised wifi in the room does not work.  There is wifi in the lobby.  For some reason they could not explain, you cannot call to to cell phone from the phones in the room.
The staff at the desk not too helpful.  No pool or other amenities.  Would suggest one stay at another hotel - there are two very close to the main square which offers some good dining options.

Adequate for a short stay, but not my first choice

We were in Copiapo during the Dakar rally and were really lucky to get the last room at Hotel Miramonti. 

Good things:
The room was fine, good beds, nice sheets, good shower. Good parking basement for our motorcycles. Good location close to the plaza.

Bag things
Bad smell in the room. Had to keep the window open all the time - then it was ok. 
No wifi in the room - which was a huge issue for us. 
Extremely lame service. No charm, no smiles, just confusion. We wanted to stay an extra night and waited forever for an answer. They wanted us to leave our room and change to another. But then after a long time when we asked the manager to help us get an answer it was ok after all to stay in the same room. 
Normally we get by with our very limited Spanish, but since they were so little interested, it was almost impossible to communicate. 

We paid $88 for the room including an average breakfast and we thought it was pretty bad value for money. 

They need to snap out of their mindset. They are running a large hotel and not a little kiosk.
