The beach is very nice and clean, it's worth getting to know Baru, not to stay in pacho lay but to get a soda and follow another one.

Don pacho is very good.

We had to do the plankton tour. Lack of a guide, bad refrigeration, the beach in front of the facilities with lots of stones and boats. the general level of those who attend unkindly, one of the guides marked, disastrous, and Pacho the owner very sober, does not give a response, and the little that speaks does not do it well. If the service was better and with another kind of person at least could counteract the visit of the plankton that is far from what is seen in the photos.

The excursion leaves much to be desired.If they were not in front of the sea, I doubt they would have a job.

It's a place where you can enjoy a beautiful sand, a quiet sea and not as congested as the main white beach.If you stay until the sun comes down it has mosquito repellent, the amenities of the site are very basic but the family that cares is very nice, take care of your belongings and avoid carrying valuables so you don't get hurt, even if you're looking for stadiums5 stars this place is not for you.

We did the tour with them to the four islands because our company didn't go out and they placed us on their boat, which was making a slightly longer tour, so they didn't have any problem summing up and were more than lovely, in fact we didn't have enough money for an activity and the guide (Arnold if I'm not mistaken) lent us money and ended up giving it away.. despite the problem with the company we had hired, they made us have a super nice day, they are really very good both the guide and the pilot of the boat, we are very grateful!!!

It's an excellent place, Cesar is a dive instructor and dan plankton tour with explanation and informative chat about environmental sustainability.They are located in a sector near the white beach Barú but much quieter, the bathrooms are clean... keep in mind that it's an island and the cost of drinking water transportation is an expensive reason why the service of the showers is limited.If they are looking for good food, tranquility, party and beach this is the place.For more information you can visit us on instagram @viajandoconlatia info

Calmness, kindness, nature and learning.

We forgot our phones at the beach, and when we came back to get them the staff just wouldn‘t give them back although we tracked them with GPS and could obviously see that our phones were here! 
After discussing for a while they suddenly pretended to remember where our phones were and eventually gave them back. 

Even worse: we booked a boat ride to Isla Grande: they squished way too many people on one boat, didn‘t even have enough life jackets for everyone and after a while on the wavy ocean the engine broke and we had to return to Playa Blanca. Without knowing what was going on they made us go on another boat, with another broken engine. While fixing the engine on the ocean we waited for about an hour without anyone telling us what‘s going on. Being a little angry the whole group decided to go back to Playa blanca, where they dropped us off at a random spot and just drove away without saying a word. 

As a hostel or restaurant this place might be okay, however the staff doesn’t really seem to care so I surely wouldn’t stay here and also not recommend this place to anyone else.

Stolen phones and broken boats

This is not the quiet place in baru, the party is like 15 meters from the rooms, even though it was a good experience we where in a nice room, its really cheap comparing to other hostels, also the people there is really nice and theres a scuba diving center downstairs and the people there are really nice too.

Waking up with a rat in your mouth, that's the kind of experience you can have down there!! A nightmare!! We were told that the music stopped at midnight but at two in the morning it was always the party!!! When the next day the staff informed us about the rat story they had nothing to do with it and are even unpleasant!!!!!!

Watch out for rats!!!

There was a rat running on the top of the wall. There were bugs in the room and many many flies in the morning, since there is a lot of rubbish behind the hostel. Toilets are disgusting. No one seems to care about this.  
In the evening the music is way too loud.

Terrible experience

There are rats on the roof, we fell into bed while we slept, although we didn't care, it's the only place where there's a party every day and it's a headache the team sounds really hard.
