Hi to all,

This is Hostel, not a Hotel.
On Booking.com I choose a room with private bathroom, when I come, they said that type of room doesen’t exist.
The service is ok for students maybe.
The room does not have anything except beds.
Very sad.
Advice: For you it is better to pay 20€ more per night and find some real Hotel in Brno.

Hostel, not a Hotel

I was in the area for work reasons and the nearest place to sleep was this very student hostel. Nothing to object to, the very low breeze, the only negative thing, the old gentleman at the reception, rude, drunk, didn't speak a word of English, insulted me and sent me to that country, not knowing that I also understood a little Czech. I had asked to change money so that I could use ATMs, it was night and I couldn't go out even because there was nothing.

Nothing special.

I had to spend two weeks somewhere and pay a reasonable amount. This hostel met the criteria quite well, and I didn't start to get down on my feet. The hostel has different rooms - there are single rooms where the bathroom, the kitchen and the room itself are isolated, and there are more public ones - the bathroom and the two-room kitchen. And it's hard to name the perfect one, but in case of great need and/or lack of funds you can endure it. The shower/toilet is quite normal, the kitchen has a plate, sink, the smallest refrigerator and even a set of dishes. So you can live until tomorrow. However, the hostel itself has the Internet.

The dorm... good... but nothing more.

I lived there for 4 months and survived :D Really, maybe sounds stupid, but it's a very nice place, located in quiet centre part in the same time it's dorms and only 5-6 stops until train station. Very cheap if you're stupid and don't have place where to stay as well good for families because they have rooms like blocks, so if you are three or four people it's better to take two rooms and kitchen and shower will be in one block between two rooms. Transport going 24h, tickets available at next stop, unfortunately only there available ticket machine. At Tauferovy Koleje helpful staff and some food available so if you're budget tourist you can stay there.

Cheap and good

It's not a hotel or hostel. It's a piece of student accommodation (I think it's a separate spring) turned into a hotel. We lived in a three-bedroom with windows going out into the garden. Right under the windows was our car in a free (!) parking lot. The rooms are clean, laundry too. The furniture and beds were all new. Separate toiletries are just like in the hotel. The dorm itself is also clean and surprisingly quiet everywhere. Since it's a community, the bathroom, shower and kitchen are two rooms. In our other room no one lived, it was all very much.

It's a great place.

Stayed here with a group of friends and it was fit for purpose. basic accommodation but comfortable. Rooms are student halls, so twin bedrooms connected by a small bathroom and kitchen. Kitchen has no crockery, cooking equipment etc, but does have a kettle. Staff were polite. It wasn't exactly the Ritz, but it did the job. I would stay there again, it's a bargain price. Tram 12 stops right outside for access to and from the town.

Basic but good

As a former Russian student, it was incredibly strange and unexpected for me to live in a place where Czech students usually live. It was almost tearful to compare the conditions in which Russian and Czech students live. Nevertheless, it was pleasing that at least somewhere the students were warm and well. It was pleasant to have rooms and bedrooms, all clean and neat.

It's amazing, but...

The room was quite big and it had a private bathroom, not shared as I expected. Everything was clean and decent. No cleaning service, as I expected. There is no hair dryer so you have to bring your own. This is actually a Dormitory converted into a hostel, so you can hear everything from the hallway and the other rooms. The only thing I missed is internet access in the room, but you can use their free wifi in the vestibule. I am not sure if the staff speak English. A good service for a reasonable price.
