The room, huge, is clean and comfortable even though it looks naked and cold. The staff is kind and professional. Breakfast is rather scarce.

In the average

Picked this hotel based purely on the name, and it was worth the gamble. Near trams, nice rooms, comfortable beds and well within our budget. Breakfast will keep you going most of the day. If you decide to eat in, make sure you dine early, which we did, and then went for a long walk through the rather pretty neighbourhood surrounding the hotel, looking for bars (which we found in abundance)

Great location and price

The Prometheus is not in the centre of Brno but a little outside the centre, but with line 1 tramway offers a direct connection to the centre (main station), which takes about 15 minutes to reach. The tram stop is about 5 to 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. In the centre you drive on line 1 towards RECKOVICE, so when you come down the road you have to drive the Bim which goes from the left. (Naturally I have gone in the wrong direction... :-D). So to assess: 36 minutes including checks, I didn't have to spend much time in the morning and I also took my lunch with the breakfast room: breakfast and breakfast! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Super clean.

Already the access is not easy, to be brief, we don't go there on purpose, we don't go in front, very out of the city center. Arriving late, it is the night guard who welcomes us, and here to make himself understood it is not easy. The suite that I was booking had nothing revolutionary, except an unbearable limit heat. A no bigger than a simple PC screen, a telephoto sofa and a small table with 2 glasses but no drinks. The room with a large bed and a medium bed and a mid-range bathroom without slits.

Correct without further ado

Good breakfast, clean large rooms, good fast wifi.
Little bit hard to find, but we asked around and after was easy to find it.
Within walking distance there is nothing really, you need car or taxi.
Brno museum is close.

Old building renovated completely

Hotel is situated near two tram stops (line 6 and 12) so you can get wherever you want. It is quite away from city center and we could only find one pub in the radius of 10 minute walk, but as said there is tram.
Room was clean and spacious. It even had two desk and chairs.
They have a restaurant but they don't serve food after 9 PM.

OK location, good value for money

Whereas hotel Prometheus could be a decent place to spend a night during a trip to Moravia, it turned out to be a choice of accommodation I absolutely recommend NOT to make. 
We booked 2 rooms (1 double room, 1 single room) for a total of 3 persons and received a corresponding reservation confirmation, clearly indicating the made booking and the corresponding price. 
Upon checking out, however, the receptionist charged almost double the amount stated in the original reservation confirmation. Our presentation of the reservation confirmation was simply shrugged off, without any readiness to even further discuss the matter. The receptionist here clearly took advantage of our noticeable hurry on account of an appointment.
In your own interest: do not book this hotel, or - if you intend to do so - request a clear and binidng statement of the costs you will be charged upon check-out.

rip-off // incorrect reservation confirmation

When i book a hotel i always read the reviews on trip advisor and for this i couldn't find any, however i said i'd chance it as it was the week of the Moto Gp and hotels were expensive.

We booked a room which had a shared bathroom which was no hassle as u open one door and the toilet and shower are there and then another door to your room.

Rooms were simple but nice, Curtains didn't keep the light out much but didn't bother us.

Breakfast was Average not a great selection mostly breads and cheese.

We asked reception to ring us a taxi as we were advised to do this and we got way overcharged almost triple the price at €50.00, so would advise people to go to end of road and get the tram to the centre for less than €1.00, at about 13 small stops.

All in all, a nice cheap budget accommodation that i would recommend.
