Beautiful hotel has all the amenities recommended, excellent care wonderful place, quiet at least at the time of my trip that was in 2010, very good food service, very careful cleaning to all requirements ordered I recommend it.

It is excellent.

The hotel stayed at the Cairo Palace Hotel three times in December and January for a total of five nights. The location is excellent for discovering downtown Cairo and taking the subway to see attractions around the city. The hospitality we received from the Cairo Palace team was excellent. Muhammad, Mohey, and the team are attentive and friendly. For example, Mohey wrote to us to show merchants when he wanted to take home some dates with almonds for them, he suggested great restaurants where the residents eat (much better than some Lonely Restaurant on the planet recommends), another team provided us with ways to avoid tearing off the taxi drivers, and Muhammad in Desert business travel to the oasis and that the Pyramids. We used the guide Muhammad to guide us to the Pyramids of Catalonia; he informed us that he was not using them; he also suggested that they handle the various ways that they were doing business.

It's excellent.

We stayed 5 nights at the Cairo Palace Hotel, on our first visit to Cairo. We haven't stayed elsewhere (except one night in the desert!), so we cannot compare it to other hotels. We booked through booking.com, but when we arrived, the 2 rooms we requested were not available (they tried to let us know by email), so they offered us a family room instead. At first we were put off, but ended up staying in that room, and it was comfortable enough, with 3 double beds, en suite bathroom and a balcony for about $50/night for 4 people.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff - they are very friendly and willing to help book trips and activities. The driver they provided was outstanding - "H" (as he likes to be called) easily and safely navigated the insane traffic of Cairo. We probably paid more than we would have for taxis, but at roughly $40/day, he took us wherever we needed, waited for us, and got us back to the hotel with no hassles. He was a driver, not a guide, but he also suggested things to see and do, and offered some insight into life in Cairo.

A combination of price and quality. A cheap hotel to stay in, especially for a few days. A welcoming staff. Not for a quiet vacation. Not for the energetic. A noisy place. Arabs naturally speak out loud and like to signal without any reason.

Price and quality

Travelled and visited several times between September & December 2011. This hotel was a great way to ease into my sojourns around the middle east. Breakfast was simple but comfortable, WiFi was good in the communal areas but poor in the rooms, the bathrooms were basic with limited hot water but good and clean by local standards. The best two attributes of the place were the privacy - sometimes I was one of only 2-3 guests staying amongst the many rooms - and the central location right in the heart of downtown Cairo - only a 15 minute walk from Tahrir square.

Decent value, great location

The Cairo Palace Hotel exceeded all expectations. Firstly, the hotel is a good price. Secondly, the additional service pleased: when paying for 3 nights they provide a meeting or wires to the airport (I recommend meeting, because the hotel is located in slums and I doubt every first taxi driver knows where it is).

Centrally located downtown Cairo. Despite all the turmoil in Cairo at this time the staff of this place went to extraordinary lengths to provide for our comfort, security and pleasure. They pampered us to the max. They are hurting with the Cairo revolution problems but they make tremendous effort to please their guests. Mahmoud was very professional and accomodating. Hope they get over their problems and Cairo returns to being a top class tourism location. Prices very reasonable, rooms very comfortable, food and especially breakfast top class.

cairo downtown NEW PALACE

We stayed for 2 nights at Le Village du Toubkal & Spa and found the staff to be very helpful and polite. We were half board which I highly recommend as the breakfast and were very satisfied with the kind of service provided,thank you so much mahmoud

nice hotel

Good location, very noisy, very dirty, do not change the already dirty sheets on arrival, no hot water in some rooms (avoid 301 and 302), poor and poor quality breakfast, young and available staff, excellent knowledge of English and cheap tours, please be informed on arrival that the airport transfer offer is accepted in three nights as stated on the website
