I've been to this hostel in September, nice rooms, comfortable beds, very available and friendly staff, a few hundred yards from the old port, one of the best hostels I've found, in fact, I'd say the best.

Every single person who Worked here was really kind. Alot of people are here looking for a good time and experience. The 16 dorm bed rooms were SUPER clean!!! Great showers, Free breakfast. Just Fantastic!

Perfect

The rooms are classic hostel style. The bathroom in room 102 was top. For a small fee you can borrow a bath towel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is ideal to explore Marseille and close to many bars and restaurants. The breakfast is more spartan.

Practical accommodation to explore Marseille.

The hostel is located opposite Saint Charles Station, where you can get a bus or train to go to nearby cities and the airport. That’s why I booked a room in this hostel.

The harbour is 20 minutes away on foot. 

Apart from its location and nice staff, i didn’t like anything. I booked a private twin room, but when we arrived, the staff reuqested us to take bed linen on our last day and put them to the laundry basket. Ok, I might be staying in a hostel, however, i booked a private room.

It’s also overpriced. I paid €60 per night for twin room which doesn’t have A/C and tv. It wasn’t a last call reservation. I Booked the room in three months advance.

The cleaning lady didn’t come to clean the room every day. So, every night i walked down the reception to ask toilet paper and soap. They said even the private rooms aren’t cleaned every day ?!?!

The area looks dodgy, so we didn’t come to the hotel after 9 pm.

Location and staff

A place where hexagonal cash pumps should be inspired. The youth hostel option has nothing to envy anyone. Cheap, with a friendly, attentive and 24/7 staff; kitchen and dining area, rest area, television, internet, luggage; everything is available. I can only rent, in every sense of the word, this place very close to the Old Port! If some travelers feel at home, others are exceptionally discreet.

Youth Hostel, watch out, Rarity!

It's my first experience in a hostel and as a result I can't make comparisons or have a yardstick about hostels but all in all the structure seemed good to me, the friendly and prepared staff and who also speaks good English, comfortable (it's 50 meters from the station), the room provided with everything necessary and clean (like the rest of the structure), it seemed like a good hostel

Well-located, very picturesque with shared rooms and apartments with bathrooms in each, with a central patio where we were allowed to park our motorcycles, well-located, with a community dining room kitchen, the kindness of its concierges is not their strength.

Several points which explain my dissatisfaction: - the reception requires obtaining your bank card number in case of room degradation, confidentiality and use???! - the presence of a cockroach in the bathroom in cabin no. 2 on the ground floor, for my part, questionable hygiene and abnormal situation.

Room 1 with CAFARD

The hostel is large and organized. The reception is open 24 hours and staff is very available. I stayed in the 16-bed dormitory which was large, with ventilators, 2 showers + 2 bathrooms. The location is excellent, 2 minutes from the station, especially for those who plan to stay one or two nights. The kitchen was small for the size of the structure. Although the room was not locked, given the number of beds, the hostel guaranteed good security.

I'm a historian.

The Vertigo Centre is really central and is located right next to the St. Charles Central Station. You can get everything from there on foot, by bus or by metro. They were in a 6 bed room, but with very pleasant comers. There were even 2 bathrooms in the room, which proved to be very practical. The hostel itself is well maintained, there is a kitchen where you can also cook yourself, a bar (prices are totally ok) and there is a beautiful courtyard. Unlike the noisy and turbulent Marseille, it was a real recreation here. The staff were also all very nice and helpful. The Vertigo is recommended in all cases 😊
