The building is splendid, the guests are very hospitable and friendly, breakfast is generous, but there is a lack of cleanliness in the room (hair on the floor when we arrive in the bathroom, 3 hairs in the bed, stain on the top of the bed, as well as moisture stain on the sheets, several canvases of spiders and mosquitoes under the bed)

It's a nice place, but it's not very clean.

We spent the night as a family in the guest room, the room was very clean, spacious and well decorated, the breakfast was pleasant and our guests friendly, and the children enjoyed discovering the farm animals.

Very good address

Very nice establishment of character in a typical northern farm. Ideal for organising wedding or birthday banquet-like events: plenty of parking spaces, large well-heated and furnished barn, several guest rooms available for rent, large indoor courtyard allowing for a party in all discretion. Located in one of the farm's wings, the rooms are large and the decoration is rustic and old. They are also very well soundproofed from the abundant noise that can come from the barn (dining room or evening in abundance).

Wedding weekend

We got married in June 2018 at the sensee's farm. The place is beautiful and we had a very good time but I can only recommend that you be wary of the owner of the place who allows you to take liberties with the regulations he has signed himself. Indeed one thing that mattered to me in choosing the room for my wedding was that there was no time limit, which we were assured would not be the case at the sensee's farm, so we signed a contract in this regard. So we were very surprised when the board stopped the music at 4am telling us that it was the recommendations that the owner had made to him 2 days earlier. We decided to put the event in place without changing the new rules of the wedding ceremony, which we had to do in the past 14h and 20h. So we learned that this is a perfect place to make sure that the owner of the room is able to make sure that you have a perfect match with the owner of the place and that we have to make sure that the rules are not changed.

Watch out for the landlord!!

I've been working with the Farm de la Sensée since September 2017 on setting up theatrical improvisation workshops, with the Impro Academy school. The setting is great, and the owners welcomed us warmly, and our partnership was made with a lot of simplicity.

What a wonderful welcome.

We keep a great memory of our wedding in April at the farm of Sensée. The setting is soothing, welcoming and beautiful. We emphasize the welcoming and professionalism of the owners. Attentive to all our requests and remarks. Our guests were seduced by the charm of the room with the apparent beams and the field frame of the farm. We spent a very beautiful wedding night in a room away from all of them (to avoid the surprises of the guests...). A place to stay!

An exceptional marriage

I won't hesitate to recommend La Ferme de la Sensée. We visited for one night and were happy with our choice. The farm is quiet, has a pretty and well maintained courtyard. I particularly liked the traditional French interior style.

We stayed on the first floor and our room was large and airy with comfortable bed and a separate bathroom as well as shower.

My personal highlight was breakfast. It was all about quality. The home made croissants with apricot ham were delicious, coffee was strong and also was a selection of fresh fruit was a great addition.  

Fanny was happy to accommodate any request which was helpful.


Breakfast not to be missed

we stayed here with our dog on our way to South West France.  Only 1 1/2 hours from the Eurotunnel it is a perfect stopping place to or from UK or visiting the cemeteries.  The owners are delightful and made us and our dog very welcome.  It is a working farm but peaceful, our large room (suitable for a family of 4 or 5 was very clean and with a bathroom that had a bath and separate shower .  Good breakfast with fresh croissant and bread as well as cheese and homemade jam.  We will return!

Great value for money

Our stay here coincided with a French public holiday, we were aware of this before travelling. However, our hosts went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable before leaving us to enjoy a few drinks in the beautiful courtyard while they attended a family party. Anyone wishing to visit here should be aware that, first and foremost, this is a working farm (gorgeous old farm dog included). So if you are expecting 5 star standards then you will be disappointed. Having said that, if you are looking for spacious, clean rooms set in a beautiful courtyard then this place is perfect.

One night in May

The entrance to the Ferme la Sensee is through an imposing gated arch into a lovely large courtyard. There is a sense of peace and tranquility within the walls and the hostess, Fanny, is warm, friendly and speaks good English. The Ferme is a busy place, not only do they do B&B, they rear and train show horses, and hire the barns as a wedding venue and as meeting rooms! 
The place is charming. We stayed in a first floor room with characterful beams and nicely decorated. The ensuite had a separate loo, a bath and a shower, with toiletries, towels and a bath robe. It has TV and lots of plug sockets. A bottle of drinking water was also provided. Breakfast was simple continental, with delicious jam, in a vast, light and airy attractive dining room.
We would definitely stay here again.
