I've been to this lovely old-fashioned residence in September, a great base for visiting the Loire castles.

A castle for those who visit castles

A place full of history managed with taste and kindness by a couple of lovely owners, who fell in love with this castle. Two rooms (as well as a gite) available, red and yellow, the first being the largest. Careful decoration in the room, impeccable cleanliness.

Castle life

Our hosts Alain and Arlette were genuinely friendly and welcoming with lots of advice about places to visit.We had a large room with ensuite facilities and a comfortable bed. A delicious breakfast was served in a lovely dining room with the sound of Mozart's piano music playing in the background! The chateau has been modernised where necessary but overall it retains it's 16th century character with huge fireplaces a long landing and a sweeping staircase. Would highly recommend this place to all.
It is peaceful and historic. A place with character and charm.

Beautiful 16th century chateau.

This small castle between Tour and Chinon is a little bliss: in the middle of fields and woods, the setting is very relaxing. The owners are very friendly; everything is tastefully arranged and the table is very neat. Nearby, exciting places to visit: Chinon, the castle of the Rivau, Azay le Rideau, Langeais, Fontevraud, Saumur...

A place of quality and charm...

After a holiday in the South of France we stayed for two nights at the castle and had a lovely time. We definitely hope to return! The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the castle is beautiful with lovely big gardens. We stayed with our two young children who loved running around the park! The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. Our children had their own separate sleeping area as part of the room too. We only had one day to visit Chinon and its castle which we thoroughly enjoyed. But there is plenty more to discover in the area.

We enjoyed this place full of history - impeccable room, well equipped - quiet - and a pleasant breakfast - but most of all it is the welcome of the owners, very careful and not hesitant to let you share their passion for their domain.

The hospitality and kindness of the owners, this castle is a haven of peace, everything is impeccable, the greatest pleasure is simply to enjoy the setting and history of the places, the bedding only complements that happiness and breakfast will only alert your taste buds! Especially these homemade jams and these sweet delights. We hope to return very soon

It's a pleasure.

The house is comfortable, clean and fully equipped, including free Wi-Fi. The garden is huge (you can play golf!) and you have a forest nearby for a walk. The location is very good: it is close to Chinon and the castles of South Loira. The owners (Arlette and Alain) are lovely, they have given us garden products and jams, they have offered us bicycles and they have helped us in everything.
