Well positioned for a direct transit into Paris, for a visit to Versailles (just trust that you won't be turfed out due to a bomb scare), and for a visit to Giverny (wonderful, exceeded our expectations). Our room was perfect, large and very comfrtable. Breakfast was a wonderful spread (by far the best of our 2 week trip). Emmanuel was extremely helpful during our 3 night stay, with our reservation and also providing transit nformation. Overall a very good experience.

A very good experience- easy trouble free transit to central Paris 

We only spent one night in this lovely B&B. It was located about an hour outside of the Paris Charles de Guaulle airport, and on route to Brittany, where we were headed. Of note, there is a very large gate in front of the home, which is locked, so it is important to provide a check-in time, or inquire about gate information before arrival. Once behind the gate, there is parking in the courtyard area. Additionally, we were greeted by three very friendly and well behaved dogs, who were trained not to enter the guest area of the home, but were in the courtyard and the garden, where we could enjoy a long needed dog-fix! Our bedroom was on the 2nd floor, overlooking the garden, and it was the most spacious of rooms we stayed in during our two week trip in France, and the most comfortable of beds. The room was quiet and clean. The bathroom was modern in design, with a walk in shower, with great water pressure. For breakfast, we loved the espresso, juice, and croissants. It was also interesting to see some of the old beams on the ceilings of the home, and other historic features. Many thanks to Emmanuelle for responding to my emails so quickly, including our need to cancel our initial trip due to the global pandemic and lockdowns, and for your gracious hospitality, as well as some play time with your three loving dogs in the back garden.

A lovely historic B&B/guest home with a beautiful garden

Have you seen this film by Bertrand Tavernier? If not, rush to a VOD platform. Because to get yourself into the atmosphere of the Clos Tellier, I think this is the best introduction. The setting of this bourgeois and family home offers a real escape from time, two steps from Paris. You will be greeted there by a friendly trio of dogs, a spying cat and above all a discreetly present housewife, who can also serve with talent in the kitchen.

A Sunday in the country...

We were looking for a magical place to spend Christmas, and Emmanuelle and her very beautiful house at the Clos Tellier have offered us more than that. After trying several guest houses in the area, we have certainly just found our most beautiful address there.

A Christmas Story

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and carefully decorated, cleanliness is impeccable, and the location is ideal for enjoying the tranquility of this charming little village, just a few minutes from St-Germain-en-Laye and close to Versailles and Paris.

A magical place

We were 4 “families” visiting friends in the area who found this gem of a home, an old farmhouse beautifully restored retaining all the charm which can’t be built today. Will definitely return. Merci beaucoup to our very helpful landlord 

Wonderful place for a large family reunion 

We stayed here as a family and it was great.  The house is in a lovely setting with a garden and outdoor seating and private courtyard, so secure parking was available.  The rooms were outstanding and felt very luxurious.  The breakfast was a real treat too.  Highly recommended if you want to stay out of the centre of Paris.  You can even see the Eiffel Tower from the bedrooms.

A lovely couple of days in luxury

Very nice guest house, very spacious rooms, very pleasant reception and a fabulous breakfast..The bunk bed is excellent. In short, this house has a soul and you feel wonderful. To park a public car park 100 m away, and so full down the street there is the RER car park.

A peaceful rush just outside Paris

Excellent stay in this gorgeous house beautifully restaurated in the exquisite bedroom green and safran which is so refined and cosy and comfortable. Amazing walking bathroom and lovely view over the garden.
Super quiet area / excellent bed - such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend and the hosts: Emmanuelle and Xavier are caring yet discreet.
Walks in the beautiful forest nearby - fire in the chimney - and beautiful and classy St Germain en Laye town very close by for dinner and shopping - yet so close to Paris.
I simply cannot recommend anywhere better in this area and highly recommend it to anyone seeking peace and beauty and of course a warm welcome!

A wonderful stay in Le Clos Tellier

Le Clos Terrier is indeed a charming guest house in a lovely tranquil setting in Mareil-Marly which was great for a relaxing stay and close enough to enable day trips to Paris and Versailles.

The  charming old farmhouse house has been delightfully renovated with 3 beautiful bedrooms with private bathrooms.
Le Clos Terrier is very close to a fantastic bakery and a large supermarket is close by.
The guest house is also very close to the exceptionally beautiful town of Saint Germain-en-Laye-which is also a must visit and especially on a Saturday.

Our group was two couples of different generations with very diifferent tastes and interests. Our hosts were extremely generous with a delightful breakfast of fresh local produce and very helpful in organising transport from Paris, things to see and we found this accommodation and experience very special for all of us.
