This is the place to stay if you’re looking for an active holiday with delicious vegan food. My husband , 17 yr old daughter and myself stayed 4 nights here at the end of August. We had beautiful vegan breakfasts every morning (usually yogurt parfait, fresh fruit, croissant, baguette, and either pancakes, waffles or muffins!!) and, for an extra fee, they prepare  a delicious 3 course vegan dinner one of the nights. On another night, we ate dinner at a local restaurant who easily adapted their menu to be vegan. It was a great meal and beautiful spot. Peter organizes self guided cycling and/or hiking routes catered to your fitness level & needs around the nearby historic sites and beautiful scenery. Bike rentals are easily arranged and delivered for you.

We are a Vegan family of 3 (wife, daughter and me, the dad) and decided to try out Le Cheval Blanc in Saint Antonin Noble Val.

Surroundings are really beautiful, lots of nature and great for walks and drives.
It is quite isolated and you quickly have seen everything but if you like historical sightseeing and medieval surroundings than this is for you! The city has its charms and you have a lot of stores/shops and a Saturday market which is great. From boat/kayak to cycling & walks you can do a lot here. You also have a great kids adventure track from 3 years old to adults which is fantastically great and only 3KM from the city (a good walk or short drive).

We went with our Tesla Model 3 and as for all EV owners charging is something you need to plan for. We came from belgium and the drive was easy and straightforward really. There is one charging station there in the city but it needs to be compatible with your charging subscription you have, otherwise you will need to register to use it. Beside this, when you go to either Montauban, Toulouse or surroundings you do have supercharges everywhere which is fantastic, while you are there, grab something to eat as there is plenty to choose from (Vegan options) look on HappyCow for example or Tripadvisor.

The breakfast that they serve is great, really wonderful and more than enough to eat (juice, water, coffee, thee, croissants, pancakes, waffles, fruits, …). Sometimes (to be arranged with hosts) you can have a Diner as well. There is something what they call the "Gourmet" evening, this is when you will get a very fine set of dishes that taste incredibly good and are so well prepared (see pictures), this is something you don't want to miss! The room we had was good and enough for the 3 of us (asked for an extra bed for our daughter) and everything works well and shower was also good. The only downside for us was the light in the room as there is no real darkening of it but we fixed that with a bed sheet which than was perfect.

If you are a morning person or wake up early for any reason, you will need to wait a little as the breakfast is not served by default before 8AM. We covered that by buying some fruits on the market.

Peter and Natalie are really lovely people and are doing their best to serve and help you, thank you for that!
Would recommend for Vegans that want a 100% worry-free Vegan breakfast and that love sightseeing and nature walks!

Great Vegan B&B and wonderful hosts

We had a fantastic stay here in this vegan B&B as part of a tour of France. Able to come and go from the delightfully French B&B right in the centre of medieval St Antonin Noble-Val, we felt really at home, very welcome, and only wish we'd booked for longer! The food was delicious - and after a drought of vegan options in France it was lovely not to have to explain what vegan means. Having said that Peter and Natalie were super helpful about any allergies we had, and the breakfast was amazing. We would love to go back and experience their gourmet evenings - we can only imagine how good they will be! They also live there and so are full of hints and tips on places to go and things to do - they should run the Tourist Information! Really hope to go back soon.

The highlight of our tour of France

We just spent four days at the White Horse and we left very happy. Peter and Natalie are charming and available guests. Breakfast is delicious and delicious. We had dinner twice at the place and enjoyed Natalie's vegan cuisine. We enjoyed ourselves! The room we had was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. We slept very well. We really liked the way the house was restored: what modernity takes for comfort while preserving the charm of the old one. This is really a place we would recommend to our vegans or non-vegans! Our only regret is not having a cooking class with Natalie. But this is just part of it!

It's a good one!

We came here to taste vegan food as well as to participate in the cooking workshop, we were not disappointed! The meal served on Friday evening was excellent and refined and we also had good wine to accompany it. The Saturday afternoon was reserved for the cooking workshop and Nathalie guided us through these inventive recipes very well. Then we were able to enjoy what we cooked. Whether you were vegan or not, feel free to try the White Horse you will not be disappointed! The other positive points are the hospitality, the location of the hostel and the proximity of the market you will discover on Sunday.

I'm going to a nice place.

I recently attended a vegan foraging/cooking workshop at Le Cheval Blanc. The inn itself is lovely with very friendly owners Peter and Nathalie. We had an incredible dinner on Friday night and delicious breakfasts the following two mornings. The foraging hike was informative and fun, and the cooking class, led by Nathalie was great, as was the feast. I would recommend Le Cheval Blanc as an inn. a restaurant, and for its cooking classes.

Lovely inn and cooking course

We stayed for two nights and had a relaxing time. The vegan dinner we had was delicious, satisfying and creative. Our hosts were professional and warm. I would recommend this place as an ideal location to explore the area - as we did. The historic building housing LE CHEVAL BLANC is a unique and authentic setting to explore the network of incredible streets and walled gardens that St Antonin offers. Everywhere you look there is beauty, including on the plate of vegan food you might be lucky enough to enjoy.  Really comfy beds with soft sheets; shutters and chandeliers. Down to earth hosts -  Perfection.

A very special place

We spent a fantastic two days cooking with Natalie and learning so many new techniques and tricks for making great vegan food. It was such a pleasure cooking in her gorgeous kitchen and her careful planning made it all seem effortless; we talked as we stirred and mixed and suddenly there was a remarkable meal ready for us to tuck into. Natalie's knowledge of ingredients and understanding of nutrition makes her a great teacher and we all went away feeling confident about trying the dishes at home. The chocolate tart and ice cream live long in the memory and will be recreated often! 
After our work in the kitchen was done, we loved the B&B's luxurious rooms and incredibly comfortable beds. St Antonin is wonderful to wander around and enjoy, it's beautiful and has lots of bars and some enticing looking restaurants - the only downside to the trip was not having any appetite to try any of them as we had eaten so well before venturing out. A wonderful cookery course with great B&B!

Natalie led us through two days of vegan cooking and [hoorah!] eating. She is a skilled, funny and informative guide who showed me that vegan eating isn't essentially about what you can't have but is really more about different ways to produce what you love. The sessions were brilliantly organised and made me think more analytically about how and what I cook and eat. It was just really good fun, we laughed a lot and learned loads....the beds are lovely, too. And I think I fell in love with the town. I can't really think of a way in which it could be improved. Thanks so much, Natalie and Peter.

Brilliant vegan cookery school

We spent two nights there with two full dinners (entrance, dish, dessert): full of discoveries. Tasteful. Peter welcomes you, welcomes you and serves you with sympathy and a desire to share. Natalie, who cooks, also gives courses and workshops of vegan and vegan vegan cuisine with English and Persian influence. For curious gastronomers, vegetarians, vegetarians or vegans, go dark because this kind of place is so rare in France. For sporting moments, Peter also organizes bathtubs because he gets the right addresses and leaves vegetarian dishes in Aveyron. The story of this unknown person is told by an unknown couple, who have lived in the village of Aveyron, and we have been to discover their extraordinary life, and we have visited the village of Aveyron, and we have been to discover their super-sized, super-sized, and super-sized village.
