I have walked the GR5 / GR52 from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea and this was my last stop before the final day. Most disappointing and most expensive of the trip. 
Unfriendly welcome and a room that has seen better days. Light fittings missing, no soap in the wall dispensers, and disinterested owner. The demi pension meal was adequate for someone who has not walked through the mountains and I had advised when I booked that I was walking the GR through the Alps. I went to bed hungry.

The cat (as described) was very friendly and as I type this review it's sitting on my knee!!

Not The Best

When you arrive the reception is unfortunate, you want to go halfway, the room is very clean, (it was recently refurbished), but the rest of the establishment gives the impression that this hotel is dark in the abandoned air conditioning does not work Wifi very good Room price (110 €) is excessive To avoid

Disappointing Truths

The view is the best part, - and maybe the cat, who was more friendly than the staff. I had a beautiful room which was modern with shower suite. Two Juliet balconies looked over the valley. The restaurant was closed, the lovely terrace was sad and neglected: tables not clean, ash tray not emptied, leaves not swept and plants not tidied and cut back. The friendly cat occupied one of the best couches. 
Breakfast was the poorest of our trip, for 8€ you expect more than strict continental. 

Good view.

The room was in a deplorable state of dirt. Spiders have all the corners, dirty floor, dirty towels... shower water that flows all over the bathroom. The bathroom light can't be extinguished. To crown the whole thing the hornets enter the room by going under the door (because it doesn't close). Frankly we shortened the stay quickly. I live in the country but I've never seen that. The boss is not even good at apologizing.

What a terrible experience... to avoid!

The air conditioning is inefficient, there is no soap in the bathroom distributors, half of the bathroom lights are not working, a lamp hanging in the room above the bed, no lights at night to access the rooms, worn toilet linen (holes), quality/price ratio

Very disappointing.

Hotel abandoned. for 110€ with very medium breakfast: a room without curtain or fence, the shower system completely disconnected, noisy air conditioning. after an eight-hour hike, you still have to get up to get to the hotel and hear that unfortunately it is a day off and that half boarding is not possible.

What to Avoid

The room is located in a very quiet annex building. There is a large terrace overlooking the town with the hotel overlooking it. The breakfast is very cozy with the choice of bread crumbs and jams.

Everything was wrong ! I had reserved a table for supper and I knew as we approached after a long days walking that something was wrong when I noticed no tables were laid on the terrace and it was scruffy. 
A sullen girl told us at check in that there was going to be no chef that night !!! so we could have some pre prepared food  - just 1 choice - if we wanted . Can you imagine what that would have been like ? Sooo disappointing and why didnt they inform me ? So we had to go back down into the village to eat which was really annoying.
One of our rooms in the newer block was ok ( with a 3rd bed up
stairs in a mezzanine) but the other room in the main hotel building was very tired and the shower had no curtain. PLus the quilts didnt have covers on and the bed linen was poor.
THEN to top it all when we went down to breakfast we were told we couldnt have any because we hadnt booked !!!! WE were furious, especially as I had asked at check in what time breakfast was served and noone at any time said i needed to book .When do residents have to book breakfast ? THe woman on breakfast was sullen and unhelpful. Sooo we had to walk back into the town yet again for breakfast even though our walk that day was in the opposite direction.  The whole experience was awful.

DISASTER . TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE  !!

We had room 10 for a party of four ppl. Both bathrooms were awful. Bad sink, missing tiles, bad smell, disgusting shower, super humid, random bed-sheets, random furniture (bulky waste probably) no taste at all, just waste. Plus unfriendly and unprofessional service, serving 8eur/beer and an 8eur disgrace of a breakfast in a rotten room. Gas stations do better breakfasts. Ridiculous pastry not worth called a croissant or pain au chocolate. Baguette from day before, no slice of cheese or ham. Don't go there, there is just a nice view.

Worst place ever

I happened by chance to be in this village, certainly great for walks in the woods, but for the rest it complicates a sad, unsolarized day and not well kept. I slept for one night at the Auberge Provencale in the room with the separate beds and I think it would take little to make it less unheated.
