A very old house full of objects that would give the sense of dusty, but actually everything is very clean. We had a very large bathroom with a bathtub, while our friends had a smaller bathroom but completely renovated and a nice shower. The place is very quiet so even the rooms that overlook the street are absolutely quiet. There is the possibility of free parking right in front. Breakfast is served in a typical tuff-cut cave that was once used as a basement and which is a peculiarity of that area.

House-museum

We are a group of four retired couples we spent two nights in this beautiful house and enjoyed every moment warm decor from the talent of our hostess, besides very attentive to our well-being exceptional lunch mostly composed of high-quality and very varied house products everything was perfect thanks to our hostess to whom we wish the best

A Lovely Parenthood

By bike or car, everything is made to have a good evening. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was wonderful. You can park your bike in a closed garage so no hesitation for a successful step!

We were a little disappointed in the room because there were a lot of spider webs above the bed. There was no light above the shower and a dry hair.

The weekend in Touraine

We booked at the last minute for a weekend. The guest rooms are located in the centre of Vouvray but in a very quiet street, with public parking available nearby. We were very well received by the hostess who immediately made us comfortable by offering us a drink in the small garden decorated by her. We had a very spacious and comfortable room, also with personal decoration. As noted elsewhere, an exceptional lunch in choice and quality (confections, cakes, cheesecakes, bread and viennese). Very recommended!

Sweetness of anguish

I’m on a hiking trip.  Hot, exhausted.
Corinne is so welcoming, so efficient, it’s better than coming home.  My room is large, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable.  It has personality, it hasn’t been put together from a catalog.  I loved the tour around her home, and the cave rooms!  I haven’t eaten here, but her cave of wines is extensive, I’d bet her food will be delicious too.

Lovely hostess, lovely property

“La Closeraie” is exactly what one dreams of when thinking of the Loire valley - la belle vie (the good life). The house welcomes you with roses and other flowers falling over the fence and along the wall and Corinne, the owner. Everything was made easy by her - from giving up her parking space so we would have the car right in front of the house - to making an omelette just the way we like it. The bedroom was lovely with a view on the south garden (where we spent some lovely times having tea and wine), a great shower and everything just so clean and fresh. 
The dining room, kitchen and cellar are partially dug out of the rocks which makes it an on hand experience of a troglodyte house so typical of the village and the area. We had an unforgettable stay and highly recommend it.

A dream!

We loved having breakfast in the part of the house that was a troglodyte cave! Our host was amazing - she even made us breakfast very early on the day we left to catch the early train. Breakfasts here were the best we’d had in France - stewed fruits, confitures, and every type of pastry you can imagine. Plus we spent time drinking wine in the lovely garden. A great location in Vouvray too, very central.
