We weren't served outdoors, even though with the strict measures (28.7.21) in the county (website info) for outdoor seating, no testing is required. When asked that this is an outdoor seating area, we were told that the test requirement generally exists, whether inside or outside. I felt like they just wanted to get rid of us - for whatever reason.

Dinner guests only bother...

The Schützenhof Artlenburg is located in the center of a small town, a typical brick building in the region. Unfortunately, it doesn't open until 5 p.m. to check in, after 5 hours of walking, I had to wait for over an hour, and no one answered the phone. The room, like the whole house, was rather simple and furnished, and there and there was visible accommodation, but the beds were at least cozy, the bathroom worked, but everything could be a little more neat. Although there was new Wi-Fi, but that was weak and you had to log in all the time. The food in the restaurant was homemade and neat, as well as the breakfast.

All right for one night!

We were on the road and spent one night here. Dinner was good. The rooms were not clean, but the facilities were very old, but it didn't bother us much. The cleanliness left much to be desired. There were layers of dust, spider webs, including residents, and an extremely large number of mosquitoes (farms as neighbors). Since there were no mosquito nets attached to the windows, they tumbled into the room. The windows couldn't be closed either, because it was very hot and we would have gotten into the heat otherwise. The light was turned on as soon as possible, but we didn't want to drive the animals out.

Never again - not at all!

We spent one night on our motorcycle tour there. Very nice people, cleared out the garage for us, the food was very good. Price ratio is very good. Can I just recommend that. Bathroom and breakfast are fine.

Price/performance is fine! It was in the guest house. Everything was clean, nice words. Food was fantastic!

I'm staying in the guest house. The room is pretty big and clean. The same goes for the bathroom. It's not a five-star hotel, of course, but you know that in advance.

Clean and tidy

Artlenburg is a few km west across the Elbe from pretty touristy Lauenburg - less spectacular, less busy, less expensive.   Ideal for a no-fuss transit stop on a bicycle tour.  But don't miss out on Lauenburg !

Schutzenhof is in the middle of the village, rooms are straightforward if on the small side, supper is good and breakfast is OK.  We were chased out in a bit of a hurry in the morning as Monday is their rest day and the owner wanted to go away and do her own thing.  

Not much else to do here but enjoy the Elbe.

Straightforward, does what it ways on the tin

We were going to spend a little vacation there with our dog from the 29th of February to the 4th of March 2016. We booked by phone two weeks earlier. We were going to be there from the 2nd of March. The day before we arrived, I called the security guard again to make sure. There was a woman on the phone who couldn't find our booking. But we can still come, it would be a double room free. But the 29th is a Monday and a day off. But from the 6th we can still travel. And then this woman would be there. So we're going from the hall/Saale to the 320 km and we were in front of the shelter at 5:30 p.m.

We've never seen anything like this before, incredible conditions.

positive: very nice staff (owned), rooms well equipped, free parking spaces, very good hearty breakfast, free WiFi negative: rooms quite small, WiFi slow, unfortunately there is not much else going on on the ground (but the hotel can't do that) conclusion: I would stay here again!
