The hotel manager is totally unfriendly and greedy. There is no reception, everything is done in the hallway. You book a room and you're told you can only use one side of the bed. The shower water was rather lukewarm. The breakfast was an excuse, the old bread was baked so often until it was no longer enjoyable, then I got my breakfast at the baker at Rewe. I've never experienced such bad service or such a bad hotel. My expectations were not high but I wish they were lowered. I wish no one had a stay like mine.

Don't book!

It's a really funny first impression, but still not the worst hotel since we've been so far. We were even allowed to accommodate our motorcycles behind the house. The room was small, but enough to sleep in. The bathroom was clean. Unfortunately, the windows couldn't really be opened, so someone made a gross misplanning. The heating didn't go either, unfortunately, but we would have liked to have used it to dry our rainy stuff. We booked without breakfast because we really just wanted to sleep and were on our way home. The hosts are friendly.

Hotel booked at the last minute as a stop on a long journey. The hotel was under renovation; the decks on each side to allow the roof to be re-worked gave a somewhat sloppy look. The hotel is run by Chinese and the entrance and the corridors are furnished in their style. The room as a whole is spacious and clean.

Too expensive.

A former chinese restaurant, with rooms on the second floor. We had booked the family suite, which turned out to be 2 rooms next to eachother. There was a shower in the closet (!!) and an extra bathroom, which included a refigrerator... It is run by an elderly chinese couple, with limited german language skills.

The walls are paperthin, breakfast is terrible, but the beds were decent. An extremely weird experience. If you can get it dirt cheap and lower your expectations, it could be allright for a couple of days. At full price, there HAS to be better options in the area.

Weirdest hotel ever

We booked two double rooms for two adults and two children through a serious travel booking portal. On arrival at 9 p.m. it suddenly said that the booking portal had booked incorrectly. The double rooms were booked only for single booking, which sounded very strange to us. The hotel owner refused to accept the booking, wanted the double price and asked us to do so with the portal at the telephone. The phone call with the service staff led to a heated discussion of the category between the booking portal and the hotel owner. We were very much under the impression that something was wrong here. The hotel owner assumed that we and our two unfortunate children were going to have a discussion about the booking for us and to book a double price, and we were not able to discuss this with the hotel's five-and-a-half-night staff. We were still very suspicious of the hotel owner, and we were not able to discuss it with the hotel's five-and-a-half-hours.

From opaque to suspicious

I can only agree with the bad reviews of the others...the smell, the wildly mixed old and kitschy facilities, communication difficulties...we were happy to be out of this hotel again in the morning.Even 2 stars are still too much here.Honestly, I can't understand how to survive with this.Even 90 euros for a double and a single room with bathroom in the hall are too much.

I can't do that!

A very friendly Chinese couple runs this somewhat up-to-date hotel, which can stand up to the substantially more expensive competition because of the very friendly service, because of the clean room, and also because of the abundant breakfast. When I come back to this region, I will certainly return there, and not only because of the delicious dinner I had here.

Affordable hotel - reasonably priced with good quality

A nice Chinese couple opened their almost closed hotel at around mid-night (we had not booked) and we had a simple "night-bread" and a beer. Then sleep.

The landlord seems to be a humoristic chap, but I'm afraid he lost us several times. But their little Japanese cat is lovely. She is with their son in Japan and only available over the internet. So, this is a cat-loving hotel with no cats. Good to know for those who are sensitive to cat furs.

Eight hours sleep, plusbreakfast

Excellent quality/price ratio! Comfortable and clean rooms. We were very welcomed by the owner! The family room is top!!! We recommend this establishment during the transition stages.

The perfect transition stage

When we arrived at the doors we got surprised by the look of it, a small shabby restaurant that tried to be a hotel. The house/building was very old, there was a strong damp smell when we entered. We went inside the restaurant and there was a old Chinese man standing behind the kitchen counter, he waved us in. He didn't understand any english but he really tried hard to communicate. Apparently he was the owner, he and his wife were the only ones working. We were the only ones in the building. We tried to sleep but it was quite hard to fall asleep when there is some kind of bike gang nearby that was driving around outside. We also heard a loud bang at the middle of the night which almost sounded like a gunshot. Police sirens which could have been related to the bikers woke us up at 5:00 am. Finally at 8:00 am we went down to eat our breakfast and the owner of the hotel gave us two big water bottles and some wet wipes for our ride. we had a nice breakfast. Also don't trust the pictures at booking.com the pictures are deceiving and not true to how it really looks like.
