Very centrally located, nearby car park (9 € daily ticket, 3 € voucher from the host), very nice hostess (we were contacted by phone a day earlier regarding check-in time!), clean and purposefully furnished rooms (0.5 l bottle of water incl.)... Of course it is as usual in the train station districts: in the dark there are various styles running around, but this should be aware of everyone when booking..... in the immediate vicinity many snacks, MC Donalds, bakers, tram and taxi stand... We will book here again!

Got to Bremen airport late with suitcases, so lazily got a taxi. Taxi driver  knew where Hillmannplatz is, but not the "hotel". That's because the hotel is at the end of a pedestrianised street. I walked around for ages trying to find this place and even local residents didn't know where it is. I finally found it using google maps,thank you google maps. 

The picture of this hotel is misleading because the ground floor space is actually a Turkish kebab outlet . Opposite there is a air rifle/camping type large shop. 

The entrance to the  hotel is a small space on the left side of the kebab shop. Outside reception hours you need a code to a box on the side which will dispense you booking but there is a phone number in case you need it. You will need a working mobile phone with credit.though to call the hotel owner who is actually very nice. The décor inside is like a late 1980's or 1990's b&b. Homely..   Clean. My only real issue is if you are a family travel. Bremen seems to have got more than it's fair share of conflict war dodgers (African men in their twenties). They hang around in groups with absolutely nothing to do (thanks Angela) and nowhere to go. There are also "economic" African youngsters who make a point of hanging around street corners,close to the hotel, apparently trying to sell something (I can't imagine what). They don't seem to interfere with Bremen people who seem to look upon them as stray puppies.

The hotel is walking distance to a lovely local park and the Marketplatz. Lots of coffee and food nearby and you can see the train station from the hotel.

It's a great location in the city centre, but it's extremely poorly painted and easy to find. Unfortunately, it's very bright - you get every word from the neighboring room. Very friendly staff. Well equipped in the bathroom - shower gel, fountain and towels. Clean and tidy. Side-lined fabric to the wall is not my favorite due to many guests.

Light and shadow

Very nice small hotel in the center. Very nice reception, we felt very comfortable. The room is small, very clean and well furnished. The small coffee bar with fresh coffee and the opportunity to make our own tea, we were happy to accept. The luggage storage was quite simple after check-out. Very recommended, we would like to come back.

It's a cute little hotel.

The rooms are surprisingly comfortable and very clean in the surroundings. Bath and bed are very good. Very friendly, personal atmosphere and the location is very good for a brake visit. Close to the train station and you're in the old town in five minutes. Not luxurious, but everything you need.

Simple but clean and comfortable accommodation in good condition

The room is nice and tidy with free wifi provided. The location is very convenient and short walk to tourist attractions and Bremen HBF.

The host provided warm welcome and allowed us to early check in.

Comfortable and convenient hotel

I have stayed here several times at the Hotel Hillmannplatz No. 1 and have always been very satisfied. The rooms and the bathroom are small, but very conveniently furnished with storage areas for the suitcase, the fountain, the wardrobe, decent lighting and a small desk. There is always a free bottle of spruce 0.5 l available in the hallway where you can make coffee and yourself. I always lived in a room on the top floor to go out to the back and upstairs, it is wonderfully quiet there. For me the hotel in Bremen is always the first choice!

Clean, friendly, practical, central

I'm surprised it only has 2 stars, I think it is worth 3 stars at least! Great hotel, it exceeded our expectations and looks way better than the photos show. It was a little hard getting all our luggage up but we managed, and the staff was really friendly which was lovely - they also gave us a kettle to borrow so we could make tea in our room. Highly recommend this place.

Great hotel!

For a business meeting, I booked a room through a reservation portal at Hillmannplatz No. 1. The house is located in the mega-central, a five-minute walk from the main station. The reception was extremely personal and warm. The house is small, family friendly and furnished with a lot of attention to detail, which also applies to the rooms. I noticed a patterned cleanliness. I was given the pleasant overall impression of the nightly volume level from the surrounding pubs mentioned in other reviews. My room was locked and a sleeping at the window was untipped and even with the window closed until the morning, I would have liked to have had the bed as close as possible to the bed.

Central but cozy but loud

The hotel is located in an excellent location, close to the station and a few minutes from the beautiful centre. Cafes and restaurants are present in the surroundings. There is no actual hall but a small reception on the first floor. The rooms are arranged in the different floors connected by a wooden staircase, there is no lift but the building is very characteristic. The room is spacious and very clean, as well as the bathroom, small but still comfortable. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. The staff are very available and kind. They are not on site at all hours, but we nevertheless had no problems for check-in that during the basement. We had been warned in advance that we would find the electronic keys in the outside of the structure and it was so pleasant.
