Second stay and it's still lovely! Clean and spacious room and lovely food in the restaurant. Breakfast was good and the location is lovely and quiet. Again,as I said in a previous review it's the service that really grabs me at hotel Lamm - nothing is too much trouble and the lady at reception/ in the restaurant is fantastic!. Made a point of stopping here again on the way through to the romantic road, and I'm so glad we did! Honestly would stay here again!!!!

Second stay, still fantastic!!!!!!

We were on our way back from the Biomessie in Düsseldorf and we were too tired to continue, so we left in Würzburg and happened to pass by this hotel. The rooms were an absolute frequency, completely outdated, a stained ugly carpet floor, the tiny single bed had a completely through mattress and in the tiny bathroom it smelled like toilet paper. To charge for this room 75 euros a night is really a bottomless frequency. The night before we spent in Melia in Düsseldorf - 2 euros a night more - for that, a luxury room with mini-bar and a great breakfast buffet. But in the end, the staff in the hotel in the early morning, it smelled like toilet paper. To charge for this room 75 euros a night is really a bottomless frequency. Terrible room at a totally overpriced price

In the hotel room there was an unbearable stench. On our complaint we got another room, but it also smelled unpleasant. As I later found out, this was due to the faulty heating system (unopened pipes), from which the smell and noises also came throughout the night, so that you could barely sleep. In addition, the bed at the bottom end is not open, so you couldn't stretch your legs. Summary: Never again!! The breakfast the next morning was also just below average, there were only minibreads.

Lovely hotel, room was very clean, bright, spacious and we'll decorated. The restaurant is really nice, with great food. The breakfast is basic, but well done. The two lady's that were there were lovely and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely come back to this hotel.

The 2nd floor room goes out to the courtyard, a small balcony does not add value. The bathroom has come into its years, quite dark and there are no separate products for showering. The bed is like the room, relatively inhabited. The passage to the bathroom was not lit, on demand the pear should be replaced, but was not.

Rooms so la la, breakfast very good

The hotel is located in Höchberg, which is close to Würzburg. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the city by car. The rooms are furnished appropriately, only the mattress is a little too soft (but everyone feels differently). We had a bigger event there and the lunch was good, the cake in the afternoon was great and the service was attentive, fast and friendly.

Unfortunately, the problem lies in the rooms, which are quite inviting from the outside. They are narrow, with old carpets and only very well equipped. The mattresses are all the way through, the shower head is just as functional. This is only a dim light, as there are too weak light bulbs - by the way, this is all over the hotel, on the walkways and in the breakfast room. Very uncomfortable atmosphere and not timely in the age of LEDs! The breakfast was ok, staff was very hardworking and friendly, checking in at 23:00 was no problem. Nevertheless, urgent renovation is needed!

Urgently in need of renovation

Our room had bedbugs. The management knew about it and gave us the room anyway.

I stayed with my wife and daughter at the Lamm hotel Würzburg-Höchberg on July 11 and 12, 2017. On our second morning we woke up early and discovered bedbugs walking around on our sheets, which had bloody streaks on them from the bites.

We spent the day sterilizing or throwing away belongs. We had to throw away clothes, shoes, camera bags, hats, books, maps, toiletries - hundreds of dollars worth of stuff.  The manager was unreachable, and still has not responded to our email.

What is really aggravating is that we found little boxes of bug bait under the bed, indicating that the management knew about the problem. How could they put us in that room?

If you travel by car, this place is well worth considering as a base for 'doing' Würzburg and environs.  It has a good restaurant, serving honest fare with a regional bent, and is an overall pleasant, welcoming establishment.  My only real point of criticism is the slow coffee machine at breakfast time:  it holds up traffic considerably!  In the guest rooms, modern windows effectively block traffic noise, and even with open windows we slept well in August, but if you have the choice, ask for a room away from the busy street in front.

A good alternative to accomodation in Würzburg city--for motorists

Wifi promised but broken when we booked in.  Room was clean as was bathroom, but hotel lacked soul. Bathroom small and no coffee and tea making facilities in room. Breakfast was a very basic continental style.  Had to drive 10 minutes to city centre....Wouldn't go back.
