I was greeted by the barons, led directly to the Weislingen room, and here I looked across the landscape to the cemetery where our president Roman the Duke of Austria found his final resting place.

It's amazing. You could easily fall in love here.

Wow, what a great stay. Just arrived, we got a little tour and were brought to our room in person. (Thanks to Moritz) Staff and service were very good, we felt very comfortable. We would very much like to recommend you!

It's a one-off!

We stayed at the Götzenburg for the first time, and we had a beautiful room with Erker. The bathroom has been renovated and everything is very clean. When booking, you have to be careful that when you book a Queensize bed, it's only 2x1.40 meters. Breakfast offers everything you like to eat. The knight's room is just fantastic and impressive. Friendly reception and service round off the very good experience.

You must have done it

We had booked the Heavenly Castle Dreams with rooms for Wise Men. The friendly lady at the reception first looked at our body size - historic beds are not suitable for larger contemporaries. The room was truly historic, even fit the flat screen with 5 analogue programs;-) The castle yard was turned into a maze: the stages were for the festivals. The 4-stage menu I don't tell you, just asked Swabian 4-stage menu: onion fries and 3 square eyes? You should only tell the service if you want to bring between the stages.

Historic castle

As a really old castle hotel, only recommended for people who don't stand on comfort or elevator, narrow bathrooms, steep stairs and noisy during the festival in the courtyard. Super terrace over the hunting lodge. Ambience great class, service very friendly, wine and food including breakfast amazingly good. Nota bene: Prices very high.

Authentic but expensive

We took a great 4-day bike tour along the hunting and stayed the last night at the castle hotel Götzenburg. The staff were very nice and showed us almost the whole castle. Our little daughter was also allowed to see the abandonment and the official night ghost (buhu). It checks to see if all the children sleep at night too :-) We ate extra in the evening and had a great breakfast in the morning. From the dining room and from the terrace you can have a beautiful view of the hunting. Besides, you can see the legendary iron hands of the god Berlichingen there. We all had a lot of fun!

A great night at the Gothenburg

The performance of maintaining such a building and the surrounding parkland and filling it with life cannot be appreciated enough, and the fact that a 500-year-old castle meets a different standard than a modern hotel is self-evident. We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the suburb. The room was furnished with furniture from different eras, the bed a little short. The only real criticism of our stay was the bathroom from the 1960s, shrill. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. All meals are served in the restaurant overlooking the hunting lodge or in the living room, both of which are worth seeing. The breakfast was adequate and delicious, served with a little extra time. The staff in the castle had been waiting for us in a restaurant that was so uninhabitable.

An experience

The accommodation or the room offered (Georg) in Götzenburg was very nice. The furnishing and cleanliness left no wishes open. Disappointing was the cake offer on a Saturday afternoon: there were only small pieces of a sheet-cooker cake at a completely overpriced price of €3.10 per piece. The menu of the restaurant was very simple and fantasy-free. There was no incentive to eat the dinner. It is highly recommended that the restaurant in the opposite part of the Castle Rotenburg be taken in the evening. The food and drinks offered there were more delicious and the meals could be combined with imagination.

Staying at the Götzenburg

It's a unique hotel and very different from the ones that one usually visits when going on a business trip. It's in the middle of a rural area, far from the city. The area is surrounded by forest, where hunting is common. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, with the amenities common to any business hotel. There is free WiFi. Free continental breakfast, cozy restaurant, with good dishes. The best of all is the atmosphere it recreates, medieval. If you need to rent a car to get there, then it's far from urban areas. In the distance, it's about 70 km from Stuttgart. If you need to go to Daimler and prefer to stay in a different place, I'll recommend it completely. However, you should calculate the time it takes to move from one to two hours, depending on the traffic.

A wonderful place.

Then this is just the place. Atmospheric 600 hundred year old castle. Expected Banquo's ghost to appear at any moment. Spacious room. Modern refurbished bathroom - with heated tile floor - just what was needed when it was zero outside. And a proprietor who made me welcome when I turned up at 22.00 in the evening. Good breakfast. Helpful and pleasant staff. Would recommend.
