After visiting Rheinfälle, we stayed in Jestetten near the Lion, at a fair price in a simple but clean and spacious room with also simple but absolutely sufficient breakfast at nice and helpful hoteliers 👍 it is not more, but also not less. Whoever needs more must book accordingly and then pay as well, so everything is fine here, even free parking and Wl-Lan. Restaurant we did not use, but was well visited, so it can not be bad. We were too happy, so WITER FEELING🤗

Hotel for overnight accommodation at a fair price

We stayed at this hotel for a short vacation... we immediately felt at home for the hospitality is the professionalism of the owner, a very available person.

A short vacation

The hotel is not ideally located! On the side of a fairly busy and noisy road, even if the rooms overlooking the coast and the back do not suffer too much. This being the setting is rather that of a passing hotel. The reception is rather cold at first, but I think it is rather a form of courtesy since things improve later. The room is clean and spacious, with all the comforts you expect. The restaurant offers both typical German dishes and Indian or Pakistani dishes (the origin of the hotel's patrons). The kitchen is good and the service is very good. The breakfast is a little more unpretentious.

Average but correct quality/price ratio

We booked for third week in August.. The rooms were very clean. Like most small hotels they do not have air conditioning. That is fine as long as the temperature stays below 80 
however when it is 85 degrees out you have to open the windows. This hotel is right next to a busy street so traffic does not slow down until about 1 then picks up about 5. We asked for a fan but they did not have one. At least a fan would have made it bearable
and cut down some of the street noise. Our room was in the back, right next to a street 
light so we also were lit up all night . Breakfast was adequate but nothing to brag about. One plus is they do have a lift for your luggage. Between sweating and the road noise we got very little sleep. We would not stay here again.

We had been looking forward to a good civic lunch. Okay, the food was also good, unfortunately the visit was overshadowed by not so friendly and hasty service. We were at the restaurant at about 13.45 and we gave up the order. We had to order the food right away because the kitchen was apparently closing (although guests could still give up loose order after us). drinks order we could hardly give up. Salad followed very quickly to soup and then beta right after the main course. An order was very much done just as we wanted. It went very well for the meal until we could pay, it was kicked on the advertisement because of the wrong order, ok2€ reduction..but because of this the staff was rather inactivated and we also expected the evaluation to be much better, I hope that we would take care of the staff for a long time and then we would be able to take better care of it.

Please train staff better

We love costing this cozy restaurant when we go to pickup or packages from Swiss Paket. The service is friendly and the meals are really well done and so tasty.
Try the pork medallions in mushroom sauce with crokets.

A month treat

Unfortunately, the potential of the hotel is not being used. The kitchen and the service have not improved since our last visit. The dishes are only getting an average rating of 3 out of 5 points from me and the guests. The staff even only gets 2 out of 5. This is also due to the service that served me the rice partly beside and not in the plate.

Potential is not being used

We were here for lunch. Old and somewhat gloomy, guesthouse. A well-attended place, mostly retired. The staff was friendly and the menu was plentiful. The prices are adjusted accordingly, as it is close to the Swiss border. The food was well bourgeois and the portions were fine. For a normal lunch tip top. For a festive occasion, the place is, in our opinion, rather not optimal.

Well-built cuisine

On the way from ZRH airport to Schaffhausen, we entered Germany by car and decided to have dinner in the Restaurant zu Löwen - which we understood is at the same time a small hotel. Food was really well prepared and fairly priced - service was friendly and we were seated outdoors which was very comfortable as we were enjoying decent temperatures of about 20 degrees in the evening hours - definitely an excellent choice.

Great restaurant ...

In the restaurant Zum Löwen. We ate well, rich and bourgeois here. Good price ratio, good and fast service. Rustical ambience. I can only recommend this restaurant.
