At the beginning of the year, we had already booked a multi-day arrangement with four people. The email contact was friendly, the reservation was confirmed in writing to us as fixed. To clarify some questions shortly before arrival, we tried to contact several times by phone as well as by email. The phone number found after a long search on the Internet was invalid, running an AB. In short: the tenant had closed the business almost overnight. We did not receive any information that the hotel was closed and we would have to look for a new accommodation more than shortly.

Total failure

We had booked two nights there, but instead of checking in, the house was completely closed and no one even touched the phone. There was only a sign with the inscription: 'closed due to illness'. No cancellation, although there is email and phone. NEWS! We were travelling through Germany with a small child and of course we didn't know where to go first. Complaints are simply deleted (see how long this is online) and emails with claims for damages are ignored. THAT IS THE LAST HATE OF GERMANY!!!

Watch out! Fingers off!

What to write, a soup as a starter, excellent, the Frenchman would write, I too. A starter for kneeling, Fishers Fritz should be engraved.

We were there with friends for dinner and it was very good. We had all the different dishes and everything was great. It was very nicely made and it tasted very good to everyone. We will definitely go back to eat there soon.

Eating with Friends

Very beautiful and spacious rooms, Restaurant food excellent sat on terrace with a group of five.  Family environment or for couples.  Had variety of wines and beers.  I absolutely enjoyed the rustic and homey view around property.  View of Shetland pony farm outside of property.  Arch from parking opens to a beautiful view of the terrace to rooms on the courtyard or indoor stay.  My sister and brother in law have lived in Germany for 15 years and found this Landhaus quite the gem and will definitely be returning!  Pricing was truly reasonable for the region

Traveling through Germany to Netherlands

This hotel is located just outside of the pelgrimage city of Kevelaer, in the middle of the countryside. The rooms are spacious and confortable, and the food in the restaurant very decent. When I was there, the weather was beautiful, so we had dinner outside on the terrace. It is very quiet, just the singing of birds is overheard. Even the Ryanair airplanes landing at nearby Weeze airport could only be seen, not heard. I was there for business, but I guess this hotel is ideal for a biking vacation - the surrounding area is very nice : lots of woods and green fields.
The only minor : after breakfast, the hotel was closed by the owners who went back to bed. We had to pay our invoice the evening before (checking out in the morning is impossible), so they assumed that we did not go back to our rooms after breakfast to collect our items. Funny : I had to bang the door of the hotel... to be to leave. Then the maid came rushing out, asking us to be quiet and sneak through the service exit. They do take "peace and quiet" very serious here!

Simple but confortable, and very quiet

Rooms poor standard and very cold and damp.  Food and service compensated for the poor quantity rooms and were excellent.
Restaurant service was excellent and the quality of food first class.
The hotel seemed to have some flooding problems when I visited and I was very cold in the room. The quality of the bed linen was very poor indeed.

Rooms poor standard, remote location

Found this hotel on Trip advisor and we were not disappointed. Beautiful location, friendly service, nothing too much trouble (we wanted extra pillows and they were there, as if by magic), really excellent food and drink. Just one small downside....although the wireless internet was free, we had to sit in the corridor outside our room to get a connection.
