Hotel Villa Fuerstenberg is a nice hotel. It is nicely located and I have no complaints. Hotel Villa Fuerstenberg staff was nice and I am not sure why other reviews of Hotel Villa Fuerstenberg said it was hard to find staff. I would recommend Hotel Villa Fuerstenberg. Sean Fuerstenberg Milwaukee

A stately villa for itself - you don't have that often. Something unusual about the check-in: no one is there, the door of the beautiful foundation house is locked. There are friendly instructions on the phone for this, the key to the house and to the room is in the key soap. Also in the representative hall: no one. The single room on the first floor is spacious enough, with high ceilings and well-equipped bathroom/shower. The bed is fine, the mirrored glass windows almost forget the traffic outside. So, best of all... there's still the strange feeling of being completely alone here. Breakfast, but the next morning: There's a nice, fresh, full-fledged cup of bread, a nice, clean cheese, and then a nice, all-on-you-can-eat-the-make, and then you don't have to worry about the whole thing.

An experience

All the negative comments are still too flattering... no reception (except when you have to pay). Nothing works: HS TV, HS Internet. Don't hesitate: elsewhere, you'll find it easily cheaper, less ghostly, less small, less obsolete, less antipathetic. The only receptionist would do well to wear a mask to make it look like she's sketching a smile.

Hotel Transylvania

Stayed one night with the wife in Aug 2018. Turned up and parked right outside the steps up to the front door. The wife thought they had taken our money and 'done a runner', I had to agree, grounds looked untidy and un-cared for, the windows uncleaned, the sills dusty. Anyway we walked up to the front door, rang the bell and then read the notice. A phone call later and we have opened the safe to find our keys and been told where to park the car. No drama. Once inside the place opens up and you can see/guess it's former glory, in the size of the hallway and ceiling height. Room was on the first floor (no lift, but wide stairway), it was huge by European standards with a high ceiling and loads of storage space, it's an old building with old fittings; but it was clean and tidy, so no complaints there. Breakfast was adequate with a decent selection of cold meats and cheeses, plenty of bread and a coffee machine that took no prisoners. Slept well.

Looked like it had closed down, luckily it wasn't.

I was obliged to go to this place as any other in the nearby was full, well next time I'll sleep in my car, at least it would be cleaner! Curtains were dark grey , full of dust, in 3 days no vacuuming happened to the carpets in my room as the same piece of paper was standing in the middle. The hair in the WC stayed there from morning to evening, so neither a flushing was done by the cleaning personnel. There is no reception in afternoon nor evening, no help nor indication on how to call a taxi. If you arrive in the afternoon you have to call a number outside the door (no reply for 15' anyway) to get the code of the security box and get the key to enter. There was a considerable gap between door of the room and the corridor and the light from the corridor is on all night long, so your pillow will be lightened all night. From outside it seems an abandoned house. There is miserable volume of cold water from the basin and the shower: you have to wait 10' to get warm at least. Tv was not working. Everything is written in German only. Breakfast is poor and cappuccino by the machine is actually a mixture of milk water and a drop of coffee. Kind personnel but it is not enough obviously. Unacceptable price applied. Never ever!!
