We stayed for a night in the suite overlooking the sea. The room is very beautiful and timelessly modern furnished, the bathroom is large and freshly renovated and the view of the lake is magnificent. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent and the service was very good. The breakfast was not necessarily a buffet, but had to be pre-ordered by ticket the night before and was nothing special, but the price ratio was ok. The hotel includes a small boat yard where paddle boats and rowing boats are rented.

Very nice room, great location, delicious food

Service, food, ice cream is just top!!! Lovely and personal service :-) The rooms are very tastefully furnished. Self-made ice cream and a beautiful view of the boathouse made the evening perfect. In the restaurant a nice ambience: the kitchen interprets the classics of German and Austrian cuisine traditionally and very finely and a wine accompaniment is recommended! We are very happy to come back and look forward to the new boathouse in 2020! Please continue!

Dreamy and delicious

This hotel (I think family run) appears to have recently undergone renovation. The bathroom was completely new and modern with good water pressure in the shower. The room had new hard wood throughout- no old creaky floors or stained carpet. The bed was comfortable, although the double bed was just 2 single beds pushed together. There were some “hunter” themed touches (distressed leather chair, a dark heavy plank used as a wall accent) that made the room more cozy. The entire room was spotless clean and bright. 
The restaurant served regional dishes which were well prepared. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. 
We only stayed one night, but it was definitely so much better than staying in a business or big chain hotel. 

Nice and comfortable 

Nice location by the lake, but unfortunately some uncomfortable beds and too small pillows. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. The rooms have no air conditioning. Breakfast is very good for a hotel of this category.

Clean and orderly

The hotel is located directly on the Lütjensee, the outdoor terrace is on the lakefront. There are rooms with views to it but cost more than the others. The location is great for those who want to relax in a beautiful environment (forest, lake). However, if you want to go out at night, you'll be better off staying in Hamburg. There's nothing else here! The excellent hotel restaurant (here elsewhere) closes at around 22:00 (cook until 21:00), after which you can actually just go to sleep. The rooms are very individually and tastefully furnished, the same applies to the bathrooms. Everything is very well maintained and clean. The three beds offer full sleeping comforts.
