You can't say anything bad about the hotel except that it's right on a busy road. The price is perfectly fine and the room was fine. It's 2 stars and it's reasonable. The breakfast was simple and the coffee was fine. Friendly and nice reception and I can't confirm some negative opinions here. I'd book it again for a short-term stay.

It's all right.

Room is nice sized with good sized clean bathroom and plenty of brightness and light in the room . Owner/Manager was very conscientious and helpful . Good secure bike storage behind the Gasthaus in a locked garage . Very reasonable cost room with breakfast only €6.00 / person extra . Close to a small pub with good food and beer . Right on the River Neckar and the Neckartal Radweg . All in all , a really good deal .

Great deal on the Neckar

We were in the river for a night. We didn't find anyone there personally. Everything went by phone. So we also had to take care of ourselves, otherwise we probably wouldn't have been able to get a room. We got the code for the door by phone. The room key then came out of the box. The hotel room is clean but old-fashioned. I said right away like at Grandma's:D But for the price and for sleeping completely enough. We didn't use the breakfast. This was also apparently too much trouble for the owners (you could hear out on the phone) leaving at 8 in the morning, there was no one there either. We left the 60 euros and the key in the room. Easy but not customer friendly. The phone was pretty annoying all the time. OK!

It's enough to sleep!

I had a bad feeling when I first looked at the location of the hotel on Bundesstraße in my google map. The owner reassured me by phone that they had soundproof windows and also a roll-up. It would hardly have been worth hearing anything afterwards. Also, when we arrived at the hotel on Sunday afternoon, I had a bad feeling. Although it was only possible by a pedestrian footpath to get the car to the other road by three minutes, the owner explained by telephone that they had soundproof windows and also a roll-up. I would hardly have had to hear anything afterwards.

Recommended for hearing impaired only

This hotel is  listed in booking.com as Pets friendly but refused our entry in the evening because she didn't want a dog in. Was extremely rude and unfriendly. In the morning charged credit for one night no show.

Was hesitant to book here due to several bad reviews, but took a chance as price seemed good for the area. Big mistake.

Refused entry, rude and finally charged credit card

Good day. We went to see the Mercedes Museum and we went to Munich (bmw museum). We stopped at this hotel. We arrived at 9+ in the evening there was no one to get the key called the cell phone. there was a code, and when I put it in the box the key fell out.

I can't say anything bad about the hotel. The price is completely fair and the room was fine. It's 2 stars and everything is fine for that. The breakfast was absolutely fine and it was for everyone and the coffee was good. Friendly and nice reception and I can't confirm some negative opinions here. Metzingen is close to shopping and the surroundings are just as nice if you like to go for a walk. I'd book it again anytime.

Kind and good for a fair price

We were told by telephone that there would be no room reserved because the reservation was not clear! First we were called to another hotel on the spot. Later we learned that at the whistle often guests are booked out who want to stay only one night, if the room can be rented for several nights afterwards! So it would be better not to book there!

Room not reserved

This is an easy to find small, quiet, and friendly family-run hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean, the parking was free and available, and the breakfast was generous and tasty. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is well worth trying out in the evening. Both the food and the accommodation were excellent value for money. The hotel is only 15 minutes from the Metzingen shopping village, and fairly close to Stuttgart airport. The owners who staff the hotel themselves are very kind and helpful; they made us feel very welcome.

A pleasant surprise

We found this “Gasthaus” using a booking engine, and selected it based on price and proximity to our final destination:  **Metzingen Outlet Shopping**.   We did confirm our reservation with the owners, who are a charming Greek family that immigrated to Germany (they speak English as well).  They couldn’t have been more lovely!  As for the rooms:  We did have a room that faced out onto the busy road, which was very well traveled (thus ask for a room in the back).  Luckily, I never travel without earplugs!   The room itself (and bathroom) was *incredibly spotless*—the beds were equipped with fluffy pillows & duvets. There was also a flat screen TV.  My iPhone picked up a WIFI signal, but I didn’t use it.  The hotel does have an attached restaurant and is walking distance from a gas station (4-5’) if you need a late night snack.  We didn’t have breakfast (extra 5 EUR extra pp.), but when we paid, the owner graciously offered us a cappuccino!  All in all, a great stopover stay.
