I stayed here for 2 nights on the way back to the UK from Bavaria and Austria.
The hotel is housed in what was the town hall, it's over 500 years old so is quirky and nog like a modern hotel.
The room was spacious with a nice table and seating area, clean and comfortable. I had views to the church and high street.
The church bells ring on the hour, it didn't worry me but if you are a light sleeper you might want ear plugs.
Breakfast was really nice with a good selection.
The location is very peaceful in a village, but an easy drive or train journey into Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart. 
The restaurant downstairs is excellent, serving a good range of food including local Schwabian meals. 
Dave an Ines are excellent hosts, very welcoming. 
Overall, an excellent stay.

Hidden gem

This guesthouse was built in 1490!  The whole street is just so quaint!  The old church is right behind the hotel.  We slept with the windows open and enjoyed the church bells. 
 Tamm was such a great area.  We rented a car in Frankfurt, but while we were in Tamm we walked down to the train station and took the train over to Ludwigsburg 2 days in a row.  The half timbered hotel looks like it belongs in a Disney movie.  The couple that runs the hotel were awesome hosts.  Dave and Ines took care of every detail.  We loved eating breakfast in the restaurant downstairs.  We enjoyed a delicious meal of authentic German food in the restaurant our first night.  We spent 4 nights and used this as our "homebase" to explore the surrounding area. We had everything we needed in our room.   We loved the hot showers with great water pressure.  We want to come back during the spring to enjoy the outside garden and the spring volksfest in Stuttgart.  This will definitely be our home again our next trip to Germany.  

Quaint, true German experience - don't miss out on this little gem

Very nice and simple guests that allow you to check out or check in before and after the check in times. Right next to the beer garden there is a low garage that can be used free of charge. The hotel is the price level. Unfortunately the room was without climate, the bed was quiet with every breath and the mattress was finished.

Thank you so much for the friendly reception, the beautiful, large rooms and the delicious breakfast. Supernett hosts, we're back! The house is very, very old. The rooms are pragmatic, clean and everything works.

Not perfect but with character

The Historic Inn "Ox" in the center of the village Tamm, makes a nice impression. The half-timbered building has been restored from the outside and inside. In the main street, near the old town hall and the fortified church, makes a good impression. The hotel rooms are functional and attractively furnished. It looks warm and cozy through the many wood on ceilings and walls. A decent price / performance ratio. Our guests we had stayed there, felt very comfortable.

Beautifully restored half-timbered house. Inside as well as outside.

The historic Ox Hotel surprised me positively - although the facilities remain stuck between the 1970s and 1980s, but the rooms are surprisingly spacious. I had a trunk, a chair and an extra seat with a table in the single room. The bathroom was also spacious and lightning-clean. Breakfast was good and rich, and the owner couple is extremely friendly. I was a little negative about the slightly bad light in the room and especially the very slow Wi-Fi. Basically, I don't like it when you have to register with Facebook or email to connect to Wi-Fi - but the email has the quality of the food. But working at the hotel was really difficult because of the speed of everything.

Very nice hotel with large rooms

The hotel is located in an old factory house. Very friendly staff, everything clean. The room was spacious, even with a small seating area. Bath with bath, soap and shower gel were available. Breakfast: three types of bread to choose from. sausage and cheese, jam, fresh fruit and vegetables, cereal. Coffee as desired. Egg dishes were offered immediately. Great!

Good country hotel

Initial views were positive. Old hotel and plenty of character. Alas this turned out to be a very fraught stay. Room was on the very top floor and no lift available due to the age of the property. Double rooms are only on the roadside and the Main Street was busy until late evening and from early morning. But the worst thing was the church bells. The church was very close and the bells chimed every 15minutes and on the hour right through the night too. We did not get much sleep and as we had booked for three nights we were very tired when we came to leave. Breakfast was excellent! We would have like the room to have been cleaned well each day and new towels. No towels were given the whole time we were there and they were quire worn as well. Overall not a place we would say we would go back to. If you ewspect your peace and quiet at nighttime this is not the hotel for you.

Suburb of Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart  hotel

The hotel is characteristic in a large building in the center of the village (the village has nothing characteristic but it is very quiet). Nice and very caring accommodation. Large wooden room with private bathroom quite comfortable. Free Wi-Fi connection. Lunch in a medium-level structure but well maintained. Breakfast very abundant and varied.

A quiet stop.

This hotel is located in the historic small town of Tamm, a few kilometers from Ludwigsburg. The room at the rear of the building was quite spacious and quiet. Breakfast was of good quality. The hotel had free indoor parking and the reception of managers was perfect. The only downsides regarding the equipment: the mattress was not firm enough and the shower curtain was barely practical.
